What incredible opening shots, lovely fresh late summer, early autumn views. Hello from two miles in! Ah lovely intact sheep fold, id like to think that could be used again. Sheep Fold number 1 done. Cracking picnic spot. So much free space in South Yorkshire! Nice exposed trig with intact flush bracket. Wonderful rock formations, amazing you had them to yourself. Nice bit of crevice bobbing. Well done on getting Noel’s song choice in! Number 62 is a beauty. Cracking views getting back too, Steven was enjoying it! 😂

Great video , nice rock formations , I know what you mean about finding a path after wandering round the peat moors off the main track , I often wonder what Ive got myself into 😆 as it can so easily become a maze of unfriendly difficult terrain , and then the relief when you reach a proper track again , best wishes pal 🙂🙂.

I’ve finished watching. I really enjoyed that. Great weather in the morning yesterday. I was talking back to you when you said Harden Clough - telling you “no that’s far cat Clough” 😂 😂 I love walking along the Little Don and I love Crow Stone Edge but I hate the outer edge path. It doesn’t matter how dry it’s been it’s always a bog fest. One time I got fed up with trying to go around each bog every few meters and just decided to tentatively walk through the bogs (it had been relatively dry). It went well to start with so I got bolder. Next thing I knew I was in a bog up to my waist! One of the scariest experiences I’ve had out walking! No one around and nothing for me to grab hold off. Obviously I managed to get out but it shook me up a bit. Anyway great walk / video. And thanks again for the shout out 😀👍
@atrampinthehills.841Ай бұрын
Wow...up to the waist, that's scary when on your own...don't know how i got Harden clough mixed up with Far Cat clough, i suppose it was going up instead of down..oh well, never mind.

@LinleysАй бұрын
Brilliant! That's the area which was just too far for me the last time I was on top around there. Margery Hill was my target but I did manage to include Outer Edge trig. I didn't think of using the Cat Clough routes - they seem ideal. The map doesn't show much of a path up from the lower woodland, along the Little Don, to where you stopped at the sheep fold but I assume there was a path of sorts. Dammed hard work through the rough ground at the top for sure. And well done with he 1k+ subs, not sure I commented before about that significant achievement :) Cheers, Warren
@atrampinthehills.841Ай бұрын
Hi Warren...yeah the Cat clough route was so easy, also quite a good path alongside the little Don...i will not make the mistake of crossing that moorland again, it was like a rollercoaster, some of those Groughs can be quite deep...cheers mate.

Crow stone edge is Amazing...It makes me laugh cos we have a short road in Buxton called Crowstones, at the top its spelt Crowstones but at the bottom its called Crowestones with an extra E...useless piece of information...I bet there are hundreds of Sheep dip pen fold's in the Peak District and what a great idea to go out and discover and rediscover them...Might be a retirement project for me thanks Steven...mind you I am still intending to discover some more unfound stone circles which was a project I started in the 80's and raising a large family and working long hours stopped that...Um Bop...got to say I have not heard that one...really annoying me theses songs...got listening intently to what your saying and thought you were going to say I just don't know what to do with myself by Dusty when you got stuck in those troughs...Another Peak 75 sorted...13 to go and hope they are lucky for you...Great vid...Cheers Les.🙂👍
