Morning Steve and Karen 😊 We would love to walk all the coastal paths of Great Britain We stayed at Low Newton when we were in Northumberland last August. Stunning area with amazing walks All the beaches were dog friendly and virtually empty like you said absolutely beautiful We always prefer walking on the beach. Loved this, brought back lots of happy memories Hope you had a good weekend ❤

Had a lot of rain was an understatement I think but a beautiful clear day for you on this day. I love the Simonside Hills, great paths to follow and great views and great viewpoints too, a thumbs up from me too. A great mornings hiking, cheers Alan

Looked tough going on the way up Steven with no paths but it looks a great area for peace & solitude with no one around. Cheers. Eddie.

Michael says that Grinah Stones is one of his favourite walks, but new to me. You are certainly covering a fair bit of peak challenges. Good for you. What a weird dream. Did you eat cheese the night before. 😁 Always enjoyed your scenic shots Steve.

I really enjoyed that Steven and what a tough walk your a fit man although I was a bit worried knowing how much it can sap your strength up there, you did give me an idea for a route covering ground I’m not that familiar with but roughly up the Derwent over to Black hill and the Bleaklow and down the west end. Lovely to catch up with you. 🙏😊👍

Hello Dave...lovely to hear from you...my strength was well and truly sapped after this walk, not that long but it takes it out of the old legs...nice to see you are doing plenty of camps...i think it will be spring before i camp again as the thought of 12 hours in a tent does my head in...hope to meet up again for a camp next spring mate.

Dam shame about the weather but Warkworth has a fantastic castle, I remember taking my grandson there about 12 years ago and he loved running a round there, while I was resting! That sea looked rough and on a grey day, I bet you were pleased to get back and in the warm again, cheers Alan

Really cracking on with these peak 75s. Do you reckon you will finish them this year? It’s a great challenge for people that have the Peak District on their doorstep. Too soon for the wooly hats! Maybe a December to Don that one again! Once,twice, three times for gravy! 😂 where Steve is going we don’t need paths! Lots of space up there on Bleak Low. Nice to see the replanting the Heather, hard work that. Well the stones were worth it. Definitely the spot for the picnic. Great that you have it to yourself on a Saturday! Worthy additions to your 75. Nice Timelapse. Ah you’ve answered the question! 11 more to go. 👍

I've not been there for many years, but Grinah Stones is just about my favourite place in the Dark Peak. It has, to me, a remoteness that I don't get anywhere else on Kinder, Bleaklow or Black Hill. So good to see it again, and Far Back Clough too. Thanks.
@atrampinthehills.8415 күн бұрын
