Fed up of the Damn stuff now Steven...took me an hour earlier to take my grandson to school which only takes 10mins normally...today was the first day that they reopened the schools after 2 days of closure cos of the snow and most of the traffic lights here are not working adding to the chaos...When I cleared the snow off the car last night it was a foot deep plus a thick layer of ice under that and minus 9 degrees...Snow should just fall on Christmas Day, rain during the night and be bright sunshine during the day...can you tell that I am a bit grumpy...that's because I have just got home with my grandson that has wasted another hour...Bah Humbug...Cheers Les.🙂 👍

Hi Steve and Karen, happy new year, always wanted to climb Pendle hill but havnt yet, the water source didnt look the best, love the history on any walk or area, yes get the winter walking and squeezing out as much day light as possible anyways have a great 2025 cheers nigel

Hiya Steve! I do always enjoy your waffle, always after content like this. What you said about not being in a rush all the time and slowing down really appeals to me. Sounded a bit ironic to me though, in your quite fast spoken Suffolk accent. But that's all right - no big deal. 😄 There are a few wishes in the corner of my mind, but when you don't know what the future may bring at you tomorrow, making resolutions and sticking to them proves rather difficult. The best we can do, I reckon, is enjoy every single moment of life to the fullest, as if it was our last. Cheers, greetings from Minsk! Mike

@atrampinthehills.841 You told in some of your vids you hail from Suffolk, haha. So thanks to your example that came along I think the first, I can spot an East Anglia accent. I can't tell a difference between the Suffolk and Norfolk ones yet, hope I'll be able soon. Accents of English do fascinate me, in Russian nearly none are left, everybody sounds somewhat uniform. There is nothing like a nice bit of waffle or a good ramble, Steven. I love the new hat, Christmas present? I got two for Christmas. One with lights on the front and back. Dead Duck? I love the reflections in the water, too. It's the simple things like that that make a walk/hike for me. All the best for 2025, Steven, and I hope you shake the malaise. It's been hitting us all since covid. I saw 6 tins of butcher's tripe on the Edale Skyline Hike I did. It is really random. Thanks for sharing, Steven.

I do love a good bit of waffle! 😅 That was a lovely walk, again with the winter gloom showing off great tree silhouettes. Totally agree, the world needs to slow down! If i did make new year resolution, which I don't, it would be to try not to let things make me angry! Robert knows that one would last all of 5 minutes!haha! I'm angry now because the weather man said we'd have snow but now we're not! Anyway, I enjoyed that! All the best, Jenny 😊

Nah then, ey up me duck. I really enjoyed this one, the chat was good (I swear it's like listening to myself when I listen to you) The walk was chilled which I love and you were on a canal which I also love *I was walking on the Nottingham then the Erewash canal today, a steady and chilled 9 miler; I still plan on walking the full length of some canals this year and camping along the way. The Chesterfield will be on that list as it's a good training one *not too far in length and not far for me to travel. Do you still do the occasional Ramblers walks fella? Anyroad, ay a good'un me owd. 🙂

Hello me owd mucka...not walked with the Ramblers for years, they walk too fast for me, i like to stop and look around..if you ever fancy a walk and camp along a canal, let me know, just don't expect me to hurry.

@atrampinthehills.841 You up for doing that then? 👍 I don't walk fast fella, I'm always too busy faffing about filming, taking photos or just enjoying my surroundings. For me walking is very meditative. 🙂 I agree about the Ramblers, I think we've talked about this before and I've had one or two spats with walk leaders over them walking too fast and ignoring points of interest. I still walk with various groups sometimes but they have to accept me always lagging behind with my camera or I just walk off on my own.
