FRESEDO CON AMORE - NEW ALBUM / NUEVO ALBUM Orquesta Típica Andariega
Orquesta Típica Andariega is in quarantine, but has kept on working since the confinement started in Argentina. The situation for the independent musicians (as we are) is difficult here, and each of us is looking for a way to get by during the crisis.
As a group we have set ourselves a goal for 2020 to focus our work and energy. That is to make the fifth album of the orchestra which will contain the best songs of Fresedo that Roberto Ray sang, but in our style.
The idea of this album is born of our appreciation for the beautiful works of the masterly orchestra of Fresedo that we've heard so many times embraced on the dance floor - and yes, we are an orchestra that dances!
The album will be called ‘Fresedo con amore’.We’ve already been working for quite a while. The arrangements are being made and we are doing what we call a 'pre production', where we record the voice of each of our instruments from our homes - with the available equipment - we are adapting. It is a new way of working that obviously does not replace the rehearsals but it makes us feel good to be able to continue with our work and to gather through technology, knowledge and imagination.
But we are going to need help to record this new album: to enter the studio and also to cover the costs of the editing, the mixing and the mastering. So far 2020 has prevented us from working for almost 4 months and it looks like it will continue for a quite while…

Depending on the regulations made by the Argentine State and the development of the pandemia, our idea is to record the album and - if everything goes well - maybe even publish it this year.
