I was at this concert. I remember most of it.....The best ever. 300,000 ecstatic humans in PotsdamerPlatz just after the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Sinead was spine-tingling.

The video you’re watching is from the dress rehearsals. As you say there was recording/audio issues on the concert footage so they had to use the rehearsal footage in the live dvd.

The night of the show a lot of problems happened. I remember clearly that Danko and Helm made a mistake (one said "clean" and the other "warm" in the same moment) and Waters shook his head smiling bitterly. This video DVD (and the old VHS too) is edited with the performance of the rehearsals. By the way I still envy you for being there in that incredible night. Waters and the O'Connor didn't get along at all. A lot of harsh words between them flew during the years.

She's my favorite musician of all time. Voice as powerful as anyone I've listened to in my lifetime. Her best quality however , she gave zero f*cks, fewer than zero if she could. Awesome version. This concert was celebrating the wall coming down in Berlin and the defeat of communism and the soviets. It was a huge event. Families separated by that wall for decades were re-united, etc.

👏 - I admit NOT having listened to Sinead sing more than a handful of songs in my 70ish yrs. THIS was a 💖 heart wrenching cover of a 45+ y.o. 🌟 PF song imho - her strong voice came out full of passion, emotion, and ‘life’ that I was close to tears 😥. It’s unusual for me to find someone who I feel does justice to the original, and more rare when I think theirs is better - which in this case I think hers was. And now ✝️ may she be @ ☮️ + forever RIP 🪦 . * I’m very glad 😊 YT ‘found’ this video for me today 🙏!
