Zee, word is Speakeasy is the most thematic in terms of connecting to mechanisms; the game is a lower barrier to entry but still has depth; and has loads of real life story to go along with what’s happening.

Turtles do in fact bite. They aren't slow about it either. Their neck is super long, so if you grab them by their sides their head can easily reach and snap your hands.

I thought that at first when I saw about the Ghosts in Above and Below Haunted, but when you delve deeper into the rules I don't think it is take that in that kind of way. You get bonuses for whatever building you place it on in the other persons area. Also they do the same to yourself and also get a bonus when they have a ghost to send over. All of the ghosts get discarded except one that you send over to the other person. Also there are some benefits to collecting ghosts too if you go down that route.

Based on my experience with the digital demo for Nature, the issue of being punished by a predator eating your animal is definitely there. Having to watch my biggest animal get mauled one swipe at a time with nothing i could do about it was a bit frustrating. It's a decent game, but I didn't feel a need to back it.

I bought Evolution Climate, the predator just wrecked and wrecked, and it ruined my experience so badly that I sold it after one play.

One thing that I'm interested in w/ Nature (the new evolution) is its modularity. If they stick to this as a system and just add modules instead of new editions I think that's a huge win.

Something I like about the nature campaign and I hope more projects use is the pledges that were also featured in the Id Lite Pledge of Unconscious Mind. If you want all the boxes, you can. Or you can get just the big box with all of the content inside it. Does it take a lot of time to sort out? Yes. Do I appreciate from a shelf space and environmental standpoint? Also yes.

On the Chariot racing, I think Joey may have been referring to HARNESS racing: A horse pulling a single rider "dolly". It is big in the Midwest and has its own version of the Triple Crown. One of its components is The Little Brown Jug which occurs in my hometown every year. ..."Cause knowing is half the battle".

I am still kind of surprised Tom doesn't like the Aeon's End system. Though, i guess it isnt as snappy if you go in expecting Dominion. And i feel it's more fun at 2 player. The learning curve reminded me of trying Dark Souls for the first time. I was getting frustrated playing it like a hack and slash game. Have to go in with the right mindset and switch how you are confronting the game.

Joey, I wanted to say I loved you in Hysteria! I watched the first episode last night and I thought it was quite possibly the best first episode of a tv show ever. How you have time to work as an actor and work at Dice Tower at the same time is amazing!

Above And Below Haunted is reworked but also way easier to score points and succeed. You can get boats that grant you an auto six for a die roll. Exploring is split into easy and difficult caverns. You can now harvest two goods at once plus get a coin - if you do that action with a villager with a hammer. Pearls are wild resources for your goods. Like another poster mentioned, if you have six ghosts, when you banish you send only one to an opponent and the rest go to the supply, the ghost only causes the person to lose a single reputation if they don’t clear it by the end of their round. Oh but when you banish a ghost, if you get to put it on a certain building, gain two reputation. So even if a ghost does get on your building, banish it by round end or do it next round and gain the rep your lost plus one. It’s honestly really sad overall, I mean change up the game in a serious way, and to that point just make a totally new game and don’t try to link it to A&B.

I usually think dice sets are overpriced. These ones being a premium is valid, I think. They're gorgeous and they did their homework. I find them super cool, but I wouldn't buy them.
