I'm not sure forcing a kiss on anyone is a good idea and then standing back to watch the effect with no holding them tight afterwards? Crowley hadn't even said anything like I love you which might have got through to Aziraphale. And don't forget Az had no idea that Gabriel had been in danger because of his opposition to the war, he probably thought it was him falling for Beelzebub that had got him into trouble. I've never quite understood why Aziraphale is always the one blamed by the fandom. He clearly said he wants Crowley to stay with him and Crowley rejected that idea. It is not in the Angel's make up to run away if he is offered a chance to do good. Aziraphale won't run away, Crowley won't go to heaven to help sort things out. The whole situation is a dreadful impasse.

Azi reacts happy and flattered. I love that Crowley can say such affectionate, charming and romantic things so cool and casual, as if not to be too obvious. He seems like he doesn't care about Azis appereance, he loves him anyway. A few moments later he tells Azi "leave it to me" to deal with an armyman. That whole scene ("nice dress" plus "leave it to me") is so very charming gentlemen-like.He is showing his love and protection ❤
