Can you speak on the difference between MEK and MPK? I work in an airplane manufacturing plant, and I see both chemicals every day, but I don't know the difference. Thank you.

Good stuff but it packs more of a whallop than acetone regarding fumes. This ketone is designed where acetone would be good but evaporatesa little slower which is better for warmer months. Also, mixed with toluene makes a stellar lacquer thinner. I use to dissolve paraloid acrylic resins to make my own clear coatings.

This is one of the single and only videos out there to help people with this solvent. I find it shocking the Klean Strip can has zero instructions on how to use it. So my question is: I needed a powerful stripper to remove epoxy paint from concrete steps. So how does one use it aside from protecting themselves. Dillute it? With what? Pure strength? Safe to use a metal scraper to remove the old epoxy? And what about disposal?

Old diesel tank. Is MEK a good option to remove diesel sludge? There is no plastic in the tank.

you can also make explosive with mek you just need to add a peroxide in the molecule to make it into methyl ethyl ketone peroxide

Hey Mark, please clean you camera lens or upgrade your camera. What I really wish to know, what is the difference between MEK and MEK Substitute? I have a motorcycle gas tank that I want to remove the liner inside the tank and plan to use MEK.

We recommend that you reach out to the manufacturer of the tank liner for the best answer for this project. We have not tested MEK for the removal of tank liners. MEK Substitutes typically use a mixture of other ketones which mimic the effect of MEK but are less effective than traditional MEK.

Hi! There is a product I use that lists THF, MEK, and Cyclohexanone as it’s ingredients. I use this product for mixing paints. How does the MEK work with these other Ingredients? If I was to purchase your product, would I be able to mix this product at home?

I have a Kubota Tractor BX series and it is PC+PBT+ABS Plastic. I am trying to repair the tractor plastics but I do not know what kind of plastic I can use to bind to it. Will I have to use the exact same plastic or what plastic can I use with the MEK to bond to the tractor plastic.

what material dissolves polyester fabric but not pvc? I want to reuse PVC of train seats for manufacturing. But before using it we need to seperate the fabric glued to pvc. What chemical can we use?

I heard MEK can bond 2 pieces of plastic if that's true. Especially ABS Plastic but now I can only find MEK Substitute but I do not know anything about that. Will MEK Substitute bond plastic?

Lowes has crown mek(neew respect for lowes). Mek substitute works pretty well too from what i hear.

Is this the same stuff?People exposed to MEK have nose, throat, skin and eye irritation. If MEK is inhaled with other harmful chemicals, the damage can be more serious. Animals that breathed or swallowed high levels of MEK had serious health effects, including birth defects, fainting and death.?

Hi I've been looking everywhere for someone to say what you just said how you said it! I have a broken vintage pen that is work a lot of money but it is made of a red ripple black chased hard rubber, (don't know if its still considered "black" CHR since its red ripple), anyhow, how would I go about connecting the two cap pieces? The crack matches up evenly all the way across with no gaps! Please be able to help! thanks!

MEK will soak into your skin always handle with solvent proof gloves and splash goggles as well as a well ventilated area or organic vapor respirator. (all of the safety information can be found on SDS's or safety data sheets which can be looked up online)

Epoxy is bad. Polyester Resin and MEK together are better. for clean up you just need some acetone.
