Crown Impression Tips Part 2

A viewer requested some tips for final impressions. I asked a number of residents and mentors for their own tips. As well, I took a look through the literature, and textbooks (Summit (Operative Dentistry) and Schillingburg (Prosthodontics)) for other helpful tips. This will be in 3 parts.

Here is the first thumb up for a great vid, and I've got nothing to do with dentistry. People should recognize more often the hard work that goes on putting out something like this for viewers.

Great point. I used to do this, but, knowing my luck, I was concerned if I was increasing the probability of trapping air. Cheers Ashley

Thanks for the tips! I think the most helpful advice will be to practice with the light body tip before actually doing it. Even with the mojo syringe, i find that i get an air bubble on that distal lingual margin

A mandibular stock tray can be used for the maxilla.

nice but I've always wondered if it's ok to use the light body only on the teeth intended to have the crown or bridge and not on all teeth, i saw many illustrative videos and in most they applied the light body on all teeth in the impression and again on the occlusal surfaces of all teeth

Regarding the Problem you discuss at around 1:50 -> Just use an lower jaw impression Tray for the upper jaw, problem solved ;)
