FYI - the Kummelweck, also called a "Beef on Weck", is a roast beef sandwich from western NY, Buffalo area to be specific. Its name is based on the roll, the Kummelweck roll, which traditionally is topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds. They are so delicious, and it is really cool that you can get one on a cruise ship!

I am planning a cruise on Allure of the Seas and it was so nice to learn that the menus have been standardized across all Royal Caribbean ships so the food on that ship should be exactly the same. Margaritaville. Drinks were horrible. I don’t drink but my husband does, they were watered down and were very expensive. The ship smelled horrible. Think public restroom that was the smell everywhere. Sodas were expensive, you can get a drink package for either soft drinks or alcoholic beverages but it was a rip off. It’s a new cruise line, they bought really old 80s ships and it’s the cheapest cruise you can buy. Food was ok but more expensive than what it should’ve been.

We have stayed in the Crown Loft 3 different times. It was fun to watch your initial reaction to the Suite because we were the same way our first time. I was talking to the screen trying to tell you how to raise the TV screen. I hope you enjoyed the suite as much as we do.

Just an FYI......crew aren't allowed to use guest areas, such as basketball court, pools, bars, etc. Not to worry...there's a whole "city" you never see for crew...cabins, game room, gym, pool, bar/disco, mess hall...so they do get to let their hair down behind the scenes...if they're not too tired! Thanks for the super tour! Bet you enjoyed that suite! My hubby lectures on ships so we go where they put us...sometimes a guest cabin if available, mostly crew quarters. Right after COVID was nice, as we were put in balcony cabins...& 1 mini suite...when they weren't back to full capacity yet. You made me miss cruising, but 35 days coming up out of England very soon. Happy cruising!

that roast beef sandwich is usually known as a roast beef on Kimmelwick bun. It's a big thing in Buffalo and northern states. Roast beef on a Kimmelwick roll with gravy. You are right for loving it.. it's an incredible sandwich!

the backpack hack really helps (bring first night essentials in a decent sized backpack and board with your bathing suit on! you can definitely enjoy the pool deck with fewer people in it 😊😊 hope you enjoy your first cruise!! it’ll be awesome

I love the backpack hack Isabella listed! Packing a swim suit for the day you board while you are waiting for your luggage can allow you to be one of the first in the pool before it gets too crowded! Our advice is don’t feel too overwhelmed trying to do it all in one trip. Make sure you take time to relax instead of feeling like you have to be go-go-go and doing all the things. Just pick a few things that are top of your list and save the others for you (inevitable) second or third cruise. Don’t be afraid to try out the specialty dinning options too. They really are a tier above the free options and in our option totally worth it. Eat a ton of food everywhere to really get your money’s worth 😜 Take advantage of all the Royal Caribbean excursions at each port, they usually have a great selection and it’s so nice and easy when you book through the cruise line! I’m sure there are tons more tips that we can’t think of right now - but our number one tip is to have a ton of fun!! Hope you catch the cruising “bug!” 🚢

Last year on Wonder, we had some rough seas (couldn’t dock at cocoa cay) So we were able to stream Netflix onto our cabin tv, through our phones. It was great, we just ordered room service and watch Jane the Virgin!!

I'm glad you broke this down and explained the pricing ( in your own little way ) but it made perfect sense, and my weird brain kind of said something similar, dominos pizza gives you reward points, after a little bit of time you get an email saying you earned a free pizza, ( your free beginning room from casino ) but you upgraded, I don't know if i'd ever just take a free pizza and not actually order something else, ( your upgrade to the room ) so it makes perfect sense, sometimes my " free " pizza ends up costing me like 30 dollars, because I obviously order other stuff, totally get it now.

Ok there’s a lot to talk about for this video so let’s dive in. The comedic timing on the quick cut after Brian says “cut to a month from now when there’s a news story about them (the propellers) falling and crushing a kid” and later after Kerry says “Really? it says use slide at own risk.” This had us cracking up 😂 You two scored on the Royal Up opportunity for the suite! It looks incredible and can’t believe there are two bathrooms in it. Plus the view is fantastic and love that it is centered perfectly and overlooks a little bit of everything. Brian’s parents putting us to shame with their expert cruising hacks we have never even thought about. Hooray for cruise propaganda! 🎉😂
