We have sailed on this Class Ship many times. We generally book a Mini Suite. We love the large balcony. We have found that most people don’t spend much time on their balconies. So we don’t worry about people looking down at us.

Part of your information is incorrect. Deck 9 (Dolphin) is comprised of Mini Suites, and, as you said, those balconies are 100% open and uncovered. However, deck 10 (Caribe), is half covered and half uncovered. The covered portion equates to the same size balcony as higher decks, but offers the bonus of a deeper balcony due to the addition of the uncovered portion. Deck 10 offers the best bang for your buck when it comes to non-suite balcony rooms due to the very large balcony (~ 10'x9'), again, half of which is covered.

Yes, that’s a nice big deck, however, I still don’t love the idea of the people above me being able to watch me sitting out in the uncovered section. It’s just a strange design.

@@TinagirlTravels again, it’s only the outer half of the balcony where you are in sight of those above you. This gives you the privacy of the higher, smaller decks when you sit closer to the cabin, and more exposure/sun/stars when you want it as you approach the rail. We most recently had a room on this level on the Emerald and the mix was wonderful. Total privacy when you want it, open when you don’t care, but a BIG balcony that easily provides room for 6+ guests.
