They are great sneakers and can be a great value depending on what you place value on. Longevity, high quality of materials, and comfort then this or their more affordable version with other leathers (around $400-420 after VAT refund) make it a great value to me. My overstones have held up for 4 years so far and still look good and are extremely comfortable with frequent use. The common projects last one or two years tops even though they have a nicer silhouette than the crown but are less comfortable.

I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but you tie your shoes wrong, laces when tied correctly, will lay horizontally, not vertically. I don’t really wear dress shoes so maybe they’re supposed to be that way for some reason? Wish I could follow you down the road of Crown sneakers but I just can't. I'll pay $900 for a piece of Inuit art - which I have done, several times - but for sneakers, no. Beyond price, they lack a little decorative detail: no exterior heel counter, no crown motif stitched into the side, no loop at the top of the tongue so you can pull it up into the proper position before tying the knot, stuff like that. I have a pair of sneaks by Merrell, made in Cambodia of all places, and they're a nice burgundy satin-finish leather with a very tastey taupe sole and I find them absolutely good enough. You're looking very well, by the way, great complexion, great Irishy beard.
