Crown supercoach bus 37 ride!

I remember these back when I was in school. Turlock California. But all of our twinkies were automatic. We had one that was a 5 speed stick but it had the Cummings engine in it. All of our automatic busses had the 2 stroke Detroit Diesel engines in them.

Some of us old timers on here might remember the really old Crowns with the Hall Scott engines in them. Now those were the days. But, I still prefer the one Cummins powered bus we had. Man, was that thing powerful.

Yeah, a pro at clutching. I at least can float a 10 speed with no issues. To bad it's not taught much anymore though.

i know how is the gear set up for the 10 speeds i know the 5 speed but not the 10 speeds

it's really, like a 5 speed only you have another set of 5 on top of that. At least that's the majority of the 10 speeds. I know there's some out there where you've got 6 on the bottom and 4 over. They're not really difficult to operate, you just need to pay attention to your rpms and try not to loose any of the gears. Not the literal term they are gone, but it's the timing of shifting and not missing the gear really.

I think they are keeping it since it is the only one left the twinkie style

I don't know if they can. It's got the dreaded Detroit 2 stroke engine which is supposed to be off the road by Jan 1, 2017 per California Air Resource Board

They have to keep it under 1,000 miles per year so they don;t drive it often

when he means dreaded, he means a bad envirmental due to the black smoke. but nothing is wrong with a good quality crown with a detroit diesel, legends never die, RIP harambee
