I would kill to see them live again. Some of the BEST live vocals I've ever seen. Most bands get a drop in vocal quality live, which is understandable... not crown the empire.. they are incredible and put on a hell of a show. If you haven't seen them live, you need to.

My goal is always to get things as absolutely perfect as they can possibly be, so we always go to great lengths to get the audio sounding just right. Sometimes we'll literally go back and forth with 10-15 mixes, all with full lists of adjustments between every single mix.

I gotta say it, looking back at retrograde live shows-I think it’s pretty clear Hayden Tree was vibin every show. I could be trippin but it seems every show I watch Hayden is having the most fun smiling it up and everything. Even present day when they play “Zero” he’s always more hype than usual. All the audio is from the live performance, it's just mixed in post specifically for the video, so that's why the quality is so high.

The original audio was mixed. They take the audio (that was recorded with permission of the band and label) and clean it up to get rid of exes noises and get rid of unnecessary bass and so on
