I miss my crown Victoria. My first car when I got my driver's license in 1992 🥺🤣 was a 87 crown Vic i bought off the original owner low mileage. He took great care of it. It looked brand new lol he was older guy. Then I had a 05 crown Vic and 09 crown Vic. Best cars I've ever owned. Love to have another

@@twistedrods5740 it's funny you say that lol a friend of mine that's all he buys is the old crown Vic interceptors & it's always been his daily driver. He goes to a lot of police auctions when they decommissioned the old crown vics. He's got a few he's restored to their old glory of cop cops and takes them to car shows and the parades in town lol they have a little to much power for me i don't know what he does to them or if already like that but they seem to have a lot more power then the civilian ones lol I tap the gas & spin the tires lol. My last crown Vic was bought from an older couple. Had the canvas roof moon roof it was loaded i loved it lol triple black with a red pinstripe. That was my favorite. Only thing I had to get done was the cowel resealed. They all start to leak on the vic the Marquis and town cars

The reason the throttle stuck on 67 crown Vic it’s because you unplug the throttle positioning sensor, which causes the car to not stick that sensor keeps the throttle from sticking wide-open or not opening at all so when you unplug that you play a bad gamble on if you’re gonna run the engine to where it blows up or not at all, so be careful when you unplug them in the future
@TheHomeWrencher_177611 ай бұрын
This is incorrect… the sensor only measures the percentage at which the throttle blade/blades are open…With the TPS disconnected, the ECM/ECU will not receive accurate information about the throttle blade position. As a result, the engine may experience poor performance, including stalling, hesitation, rough idling, or surging.

I don't know what year they started doing the fuel cutoff switch in the trunk, but that might be part of the no fuel pump situation. I've seen those get corroded and fail. Easier check than replacing the pump.

Its a 1998 LX Its very rough and needs quite a bit of work. As of right now its not for sale and its technically not my car. If that changes we will keep you in mind. As for the suspension i would need more specifics. My quick answer is replace them with regular springs If they are interchangeable

i broke my rule for ya, i watched a video about a ford... i personally wouldnt have bothered even if it was free, but at least it did run,,, kind of,,, sounds like clogged exhaust for sure, worst case scenario, cleetus would buy them for the freedom factory races, lol, well done to both of ya
@riaan198811 ай бұрын
Funny thing the exhaust could be the issue here indeed, a couple of years ago I had a 2000 Ford Mondeo 2.0 with a blocked catalatic converter... My dad an I actually just cut it open and removed all the internals al welded it shut again.... Needless to say the engine ran right again and also it gave the car a different exhaust note....

Sheesh, she's had a hard life then by the looks of it. Usually when see one of these I think ex cop car, taxi or unmarked unit... xd, however I got to share the story one of my colleagues told me years ago. He actually drove an old Nissan Hardbody 1 ton pickup truck, it is a carbureted 2.0 I4, and the fuel pump packed up on him one day. So he was kind of stranded. I must be clear this was many moons ago before cellphones was a thing. So what he ended up doing was emptying the windscreen washer reservoir and filling it with gas and connected that tube that goes to the windshield washer sprayers on the carburetor... and boom he was mobile again... Obviously it would not work for a high pressure system like these fuel injected cars need, but I thought that's kind of clever actually and wanted to share the story with you guys... 😀

Hi! Please explain to me the function of the part that is in the driver's door at 40 minutes. I've been seeing this in many of your cars in the States for what feels like 30 years, even in new ones. Is that a combination lock? Can you just use it to open the door? Why do you need something like that? As a rule, you always have the key with the remote control with you anyway... Thanks and greetings from Germany!
@twistedrods574011 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for watching! The key pad on the drivers door, something kind of specific to the Ford, Lincoln, Mercury family. Its a digital keypad to unlock the doors if you lock your keys on the car. They had it from the 1980s and still use it today I believe!

This car has 279,000 miles on it and I think is a great example of a well kept automobile. As a mechanic Some cars last forever when well kept. Some fail 1 week after new. Doesn't matter if its Chevy Ford Dodge or Toyota. If you treat a car like a race car it wont last long. Im living evidence of that. My friend and I Feel this car is worthy of living on I wouldn't mind seeing it hit 300k miles.
