yes it's about the same on first gear but then after that the mph it's off by about 12mph, an to be at 70 mph my clock reads 90 mph

Milano Stone I don't think the speedometer will correct it self you may still be 5 to 6 mph off but most likely you will need to redial your gauge

It makes sense. Unfortunately they started fading away and were getting replaced with the AWD V6 Taurus. Our last 4 were Vics retired last fall. (2007-2010) I miss them everyday, and the sound of them. I always loved how angry that 4.6 sounded in those land yachts.

I no longer have it but it was around 3k , if I'm not mistaken it was about 500rpm more then factory but the 99 crown vic dont have a rpm gauge only 08 & newer did

I wanna say caprice it nice but it's and old chasis, the vic handle better good and 4.10s , jmod on tranny, and 175 shot of nitrous it moves very well to the point of staying next to 500hp cars I think that's a win

Hello I did not race a caprice but i did a 09 bmw 535i full bolt on about 500hp and a 01 ford lightning and me with the 175 shot , jmod, 4.10 gears stop police tires and I was gaining on top end to the point my bumper was in front but that was around 120mph or so that was on the bmw and on the light it didn't pass me but it was very close

Yes , I used to have the 3.55 as well , and it's a big change on how she gets up an going. The other thing it's the transmission modification call j mod look into it , it help a lot on changing gears.

Stock size p71 wheels, speedometer was of by 15mph that why you need a tune to adjust it , the swap that will be the best thing you can do to be different but the jmod its a most you will like how fast it changes the gears

@@StinkHatch5318 If your tranny is a 5 speed, then it's from an '01 Cobra or from a GT. '03 - '04 Cobras had a T56 6-speed. '01 Cobras had a TR3650 5-speed. I'm not trying to be a troll. I'm just sayin'.

@@midrangetorque Lol you're good. My dad got it from his buddy that's got an '03. He said it wasn't supercharged either so I just assumed it was a really early '03 with 5 speed and no supercharger. Didn't know it only came in the '01 though so the engine and trans were probably swapped in by someone who didn't know the difference or just didn't care lol

4.30 it's high rpm on just regular driving , I can tell you that with 4.10, jmod tranny, and 175 wet shot nitrous she way very happy.

Yea, I think that is the only draw back to these 410 gears is the top end speed. Cause like I have 3.27 on my tc. And it's goved at 110mph to 111mph. Like it's so fucking sad a fucking Hyundai can fly by me 😔. Idk, I wonder if I added a supercharger if it would increase the top end speed. ?

What's the difference between 4:10 and 3:55?

The way the car feels on acceleration the 4.10s will make the car pick up speed way faster then the 3.55 do. So in other words it make the boat move as it should. And with a jmod on the tranny you have a solid tranny shift and 4.10 gears way faster.

@PBAB17 top in yes but on mph not hp or tq on the engine, it really depends what you are trying to do with it, but I can say this car should have come with the 4.10 and maybe another gear on the transmission but put it this way with 4.10 ,jmob and 175shot on nitrous I was doing 8.5s on the 1/8 mile and on the street I was competing with cars on the 500hp area , on the vic that's impressive on its on , so it really depends what your plans are.

I've got 4.10 on mine and some other minor upgrades like a tune with better intake and exhaust system and I can hit 0-60 in 3 seconds 🤣. Shits fun as hell, just a couple of nights ago I had a friend with me and she's tiny like I'm talking 90 pounds and I didn't tell her and absolutely stomped it and she goes "oh shit" right before flying all the way to the back and landing on the top of the back seat horse laughing 🤣🤣🤣
