This was very well done Chuck. Thanks for doing this. I learned several more things about the system. I don't know why but I find it fascinating that a manufacturer utilized a sensor that can read the metal temperature and not just liquid. In our case on the P7B it was 100% operator error and man induced air pockets. I will say the system works and it does in fact start shutting cylinders down via the fuel injectors. Thankfully due to our own dumbass mistakes we didn't appear to do any damage to the poor old engine. While it only has 70k miles on it if you factor in idle hours is has 300 billion miles on it haha.

@PanzerPlatform2 жыл бұрын
Right on Barth, Thanks for watching, and the great question. I only have one video on TPMS; kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnPbkoSopMZ6sKs - My service literature lists a part number for the TPMS Sensor for all Panther Cars 2008 - 2011 as part# 6F2Z-1A189-A. The operating frequency is 315MHz. My 2010 MGM still has the original TPMS sensors, and are functioning properly. I have not had to replace them yet. As far as brand, or manufacturer of replacement valve stem type TPMS, I don't have a recommendation. I searched the part number (6F2Z-1A189-A) in Amazon, and it looks like 4 sensors cost around $40-$90. Sorry, I’m no help. -Chuck

Hello, Thanks for watching. "how come no one ever shows how to test the sensor signal wire from the CHT sensor?" Because there is no "signal" wire on the CHT Sensor. It's just a basic 2-Wire resistor, not a 3-Wire like a potentiometer. Are you currently experiencing a malfunction. -Chuck

@@PanzerPlatformhey, Chuck, thanks for the quick reply. I was still watching the video lol. I just wanna say real quick man I appreciate all your stuff and when I see your name pop up I know I’m about to get some good solid knowledge. Just subscribed. I’m currently transitioning to a recently acquired 2003 Grand marquis. Very questionable on its history. Very low rust so that’s great, but I think it might have had a hard life. Only 95k on her now. Trying to get her back into shape. I had a 2004, very nice and rare, deep blue outside, all black leather inside, sunroof, digi dash, And I had a lot of money into her. I had to swerve to avoid a head on collision and hit a telephone pole and a tree at the same time, so she’s gone. I’m lucky to be alive. Anywho, I currently have no current/pending/permanent DTC codes. I’ve been working on flushing the coolant as it was very mucky and had metal flakes in it which appear to be aluminum. I have a bad feeling someone put head gasket in a bottle in it at some point, praying I don’t have a head gasket issue and it was an Ill attempt to avoid replacing the intake manifold which has been replaced. Anywho, any other ideas on where to go from here? Would love to talk to ya sometime by the way lol
