I can't believe I am the first to comment? Try some Kapton tape, it has a dielectric strength rating of 7700 V/mil for a .001”-thick film, no other material can provide such protection in such a small space. Anyway, nice work, I love projects like this!!

Hello how are you I have amplifier crown xls5000 it's been it's been exposed to a humidity it comes on but it doesn't sound come out of it because the protection comes on can they amplifier be fixed do you fix amplifiers where is your location

p.s. Get you a switch for you mains lead, so that you don't have to play around with connecting live wires!

Hello friend, I speak from Colombia that I am sorry to bother you with a problem that I have with a crown xls 802 that I entered shortly and I have been repairing it but the iodines that it brings are burned and I have not been able to get them because I do not look at its voltage and reference I have been looking for answers but I have not found I would like to know how much voltage these iodines bring to their real factory voltage so that the amplifier does not come back short again thank you very much I hope your answer

Hello sir,i have two XLS 602 that came for repair and both have the large electrolytic capacitors already been replaced,the first has blowned 'em again all the four of them and the other has blowned 'em after a couple hours of working.The customer insist to replace them again thinking that have been replaced with bad quality capacitors and this caused them to blown but i think the transformer has leakage in the primary windings causing secondary overvoltage after some time when gets hot.I suspected transformer and after watching this video i am totally convienced that the trafo is that faults for the capacitors blownings.
