This band sounds more like a power metal band, than melodic hard rock. This is of course not meant as not a bad thing, i love melody, no matter if it's metal or hard rock.

Look it up. Extreme alternative rock was actually classified as a type of metal. No reason why this isn't a form of metal. Problem is metal has way to many branches..... And it's even worse when a guy screams into a microphone and gets called 10 different branches.....
