My wife and I stayed at the Crown Plaza on several occasions and never disappointed. Lake Placid and surrounding area nice to visit and discover!

The walk to Mirror Lake Drive is a pain in accumulated snow.

I was lucky to visit in the summer, but I can imagine it gets a lot of snow in winter.

It is a very beautiful area, but I’ve only been 1 time so I’m not sure where the best spot is for sunset. I really enjoyed staying there for a night.

I think it's pretty easy to walk around the lake and visit a few places, but there is a lot to see by car as well.
