Crows Nest National Park, a stone throw from its name sake township and less than 20 kilometres north of Toowoomba, Queensland.
There is a campground with 13 odd campsites, drop toilets, a donkey water heater and, sort of, showers. A "nice" NP to drop into and check the walks out.
The walks are not onerous or difficult by any measure. I'm guessing the creek systems would be a bunch more scenic if there had been some rain. At the time we visited there were numerous bush fires about (in fact we were unsure whether or not this NP would be open). It was terribly dry!
The site fees are very nominal. The campsites have sufficient room to camp up but you are not going to get any seclusion at all from other campers :(. Each site has a fire pit but you can only use them when there is no fires restrictions.
The township has some terrific artisan shops, an even better bakery and restaurant:

You need to book this restaurant (the bakery is next door).
Starlink?? What are your thoughts? I'll have a video on this topical topic at some stage, I reckon.
