Forty years ago, I used to work in Dixons in the Whitgift Centre, buy records in Beano's and watch bands in the Cartoon. I think it was a lot better then?

I just saw the Damned live in Devon, which reminded me that I once sold a camera to Captain Sensible in Dixons in about 1984!

Everything looks so gangster now very hostile and deprived! you see a couple of the old school Croydonians still bobbing around, you can hear the authentic accents inside the pub which is nice. Labour took over running the council in the mid 90s, then everything went downhill after that.

Remember the pinball machines up the stairs at Beano's? Or maybe it was just one machine. Anyway, it felt like magic when I was a kid and I think you could get them to give you some coins to play it with

I lived in Croydon most of my life. Moved away late 2015. Everything about Croydon has changed for the worse. We had at least 3 cinemas. One near Surrey Street Market, The Odeon that used to be opposite Thomas Cook and one in Broad Green. There were three big department stores, Allders, Debenhams and Grants, lots of offices and office workers, restaurants and the Whitgift Centre which was brimming with shops. There were nightclubs. Croydon used to thrive. Now everyone looks unhappy and alienated from everyone else. There are very few social gatherings, no celebrations and nothing to unite people. Very sad. People suffer not only alienation from everyone else but mental illnesses and lonliness.

Seen these beggars with crutches before. They walk normally until they get to their begging destination and put on the act with the 1 crutch adjusted to child height.

Those Kharis Church people dressed in Yellow at 3:37 are literally EVERYWHERE. There are in kent too in all the shopping centers, harassing passers by to go to their church and refusing to take no for an answer. So ANNOYING!!

You missed a beggar at the very beginning. Man standing there with his hat in his hand holding it out was surely one. So many cats there because it’s so many rats there.

Do you mean the man I highlighted at 4:02 in the video as beggar No.5? I did not miss him, I put a huge text on the screen which says he was beggar No.5. I can only assume you only watched the intro (where he is briefly shown) and you did not watch the full video where every beggar is highlighted. Thanks for watching the intro at least.

Beggar No5 has been seen in Sutton also with a stick holding out a cup or hat, there is nothing wrong with him he can walk perfectly fine.

It does not do it justice. The high street is now really run down and there are so many empty shops and the shops that are there are non brands selling ghetto crap. It is sad really. The internet has killed so much.
