It can work, I just think Great Stars is more optimal as far as Facetanking because of the fact the heals proc on every single multihit from Holy Land!

Very good combination. Just tested some things a lot, for this, and actually, with only 13 INT, you can go for Heavy or Quality build, depending on your stats, and then buff the weapon with ORDER BLADE. This deal MUCH more dmg, lasts 90 secs, just like Golden Vow, and above that, it deals 100% more dmg to any undead enemy + prevent them from rising again. Got a VERY cool light on the Great Stars too :D The buff itself takes like 1.5 secs to cast, you can refresh it very fast when needed.

With dlc you could improve holy damage further: Sword of Light skill apply body buff boosting holy damage 20% for 60s, Sword of Darkness reduce enemy holy resistance(not sure how)

This is similar to the build I actually started on Saturday. Currently using the Greatsowrd, but will eventually transition into using a two-handed mace that abuses Prayerful Strike on bosses. Wasn't really considering Golden Land, but I think I will now. I haven't ever gone beyond 150 in this game, but I mainly get by at 35 VIG. With the DLC, I'll be going to 200. This allows me to use the best great shields and guard counter most of the harder hitting trash enemies. Also, the Black Steel Greathammer is perfect for this build and for guard counters. It also innately deals Holy Damage and has a ridiculous guard counter.

This is my favourite build so far for being a summon in the DLC, extremely flask efficient build and able to pump damage while tanking for the host plus the golden land is really good vs invaders.

I would add the sword of light in this build as well,tho it serves as a body buff that increases holy dmg by around 20%.

It can be a great choice as well! Black Flame's Protection/Boiled Crab can help facetank but the build has great defenses regardless & lifesteal, so 20% extra holy damage is really good!

For some reason this build is SO WEAK in base game. Tried it against hoarah loux and it deals so little damage its barely worth using. In dlc its strong simply due to having up 2x dmg. But for some reason in base game with full buffs and sword of light, it deals really poor damage.
