As soon as its getting near to having a closeup of the interesting wheelhouse and exhaust stacks with their lovely heat haze it cuts to a long shot, please include the wheelhouse and the exhaust. It's like when you see on TV a plane landing you never see the front wheel touch down, they always cut away. You watch one next time.

Yes they do, to get rid of mud, silt and sticky crap that stick to the anchor. The bottom of busy ports is nasty with greasy sediment, oily silt. High pressure sea water from fire hose.

Greek company with foreign crews! While so many Greek sailors are unemployed, the Greek shipping companies are hiring foreigners so they can pay them less and violate their working rights! I worked on Greek ships, I'm Greek. That time the Suez canal was closed and the crews were all Egyptians. Athanasiou Shipping company hired Egyptians and let the Greeks starve. Only the officers were Greek and not even all! I hate these bastards ship owners! There should be a law allowing only one quarter of all crews to be foreign! But laws in Greece? Sad story!
