Amazing footage! Is it possible for me to use and share this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, etc. Of course full credit will be given to the owner of the footage. Looking forward to your reply. Kind regards.

Hi Mee Khing Lim. Thanks for watching my video. The navigation speed of this class of large tankers is 15-16 knots. Even when full of crude oil. It may seem that the tanker is moving fast due to strong winds.

@@mariacornwallis1602 Yes... I've also worked on an oil tanker before. It was only about 180 meters, but it took the sea beautifully. We did run the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence River and Gulf of St. Lawrence. It's part of the North Atlantic. Being on an oil tanker was great for handling stormy weather.

the new regulations to come for marine fuel emissions has a visible impact on the typical japanese ship design... They must build large chimneys to fit the exhaust gas scrubbers, where the caracteristic chimneys on japan build vessels are thin and high. I'm sure it was a heartbreak for people at JMU shipyard to design a vulgar Hyundai-like chimney for this beautiful VLCC🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
