Luba (born 1961) is only 33 here. She was already then and still now (at 52 years) world class, no doubt about that. Such breathcontrol and a very impressive pianissimo. Another underrated soprano.

Luba Orgonasova is without doubt the most underrated soprano ever. Her voice is so perfectly clear and controlled, vastly superior to any other soprano around, including the overrated Netrebko, who can only dream of the purity and tone that Orgonasova possesses. It is a real delight to actually see her perform in this rare video.

I remember well: I was there on the first of those two nights and it was a magical evening - as if the whole drama rolled out spontaneously for the very first time with only perfect performers. Organasova was particularly gripping and moving. I have never since bothered with another live Don Giovanni performance!

This woman is way way way underrated. I first heard of her in the Gardiner DG Don Giovanni in this character. My favourite has always been Cheryl Studer and Luba topped that! The flood of sound is just gorgeous!

What a GREAT Donna Anna!!! The best since Joan Sutherland, I say! I really like this faster tempo, showing off her brilliant coloratura. Luba Orgonasova can really act with her voice. I haven't heard the slow section with such urgent persuasion.
