" Queen of the Night ", I prefer Edda Moser, because she has much more drama in the voice and Queen of the Night this personage is dramatic coloratura and Edda Moser voice is perfect, but " dolls " song here I prefer Edita Gruberova... 😃

@ferrykalos But she did! She interpreted all three female roles in 1969-1970 in Banská Bystrica and played/sang Olympia in Vienna in 1970, 1976 and 1977. Furthermore she featured in all three roles in a CD recording with Seji Ozawa and Placido Domingo (Deutsche Grammophon 4276 682-2 P1989).

Ja, sie ist brillant. Es gibt einige wenige Sänger …. aber was meinst du genau? Es gibt in der neuen/ neumodischen Musik auch Sänger die sehr gut sind. Wenige auf der Seite der Oper und wenige auf Pop Musik. Volksmusik ist gut ( aber auch da, super Künstler und welche die ein schlechtes Gehör für sich selbst haben. Ich freue mich Majestra Gruberova zu sehen und hören- .. sie ist mit dem Belcanto sehr sehr sehr gut😘❤️🥰

Edita Gruberova did pianissimo here, is still able to sing Eb6 in 2019 Diana Dumbrau, Natalie Dessay did pianissimo, even had larger vocal range with straining, both have lost all coloratura soprano range by 2018 Anna Netrebko: "I don't park and bark", lost voice even earlier than the two above LOL conclusion: the aforementioned 4 sopranos, only Edita Groberova is an oper singer, the others are musical singers P.S.: the contemporarily claimed "soprano starts losing voices in their 40s" actually only started circulating after Maria Callas lost her voice at the age of 40 SHARP. Let that sink in...

A wonderful interpretation of this favourite. All coloratura sopranos perform differently giving a unique and personal stamp to this aria. I thought that this performance one of the best I have heard. Bravo ! By the way, she looks very like our (British) actress, Joan Sims in her prime and that is a compliment indeed !

Yes she does look like Joan Sims a bit here. Edita G was always great in arias which required wit and humour. I just love the total mastery of her voice and range of dynamics she uses to bring Olympia to life. Superb!
