The foundation members on the other while, are stripped away from what makes them human as they no longer feel pain and possibly emotion. I really love the irony of this part in 5K story here and just how beautiful the entirety of the lore itself. For clarification, Ganzir isn't just a cool name the GOC came up with for the last bastion of humanity, it is a name of a city of the dead in Mesopotomian mythology. A city that is supposed to rise from the sea and shield humanity from the end of the universe the day the dead outnumber the living. Yet, unlike its mythological counterpart, it fails... And only in the last moment of a dying universe, in its last breath, in the unraveling of the future and the possibility that the end is adverted and prevented, not by a great triumph of good over evil or the clashing of Immortal Gods wielding fiery swords in the heavens for the fate of our eternal souls, but by a single man, a pencil pusher that was too afraid to stop, a right man in the wrong place who tragically, will never know *why* In his own words before his death, "Why is this happening? I remember a short story, this song reminds me of that, the short story consisted of a leader of the city of ganzia being proud of the army watching the forces defend it. The SCP Foundation believed they were going to crush ganzir but what they didn't realize is the city would be teleported to a different dimension, none of the soldiers that were defending it could know, if they knew, they might relax in a moment of "your too late to stop me I already defended the city" and give up and relax, or worse be tortured abd give up the information in weakness and then the foundation would know what the game was. For a moment imagine you are a soldier defending Ganzir, your family exists within the anomalous walls, the last city of humanity, and SCP brings out a blinding light that burns out your eyes this is a sense of pain so horrific it doesn't just damage your body physically, but psychologically, being blinded hurts your soul, but yet that soldier fires his gun still in the direction he hears the enemy at, why, because he cares, it's for humanity, this is why one of the leaders of gansia in this short story was so proud, the men who could continue fighting with combat knives when they ran out of bullets, the men who continues to fire when their arms were ripped off, how far would you go for your loved ones or your fellow soldiers in the last defensive humanity, no matter how much your body or your soul hurt, how far could you really go, it's a good moral question. I don't know for sure if the short story I'm referencing was just a KZbin comment or published on a website, please either send it to me. If nothing else though, in reference to that short story, this video might go on my workout playlist, because imagining myself on the front line as one of the soldiers defending humanity, a pretty fucking big testosterone boost, I will absolutely keep shooting no matter how much pain I'm in, for those I care for, if it comes down to the combat combat knife, so be it, and hell I hear the lizard likes a good fight, and if I win with a martial art bo staff against the lizard who the fuck is going to question my claim that hard work over time can genuinely make a master martial artist no matter how low your natural talent is, massive huge "if" sure but "if" I survive that encounter, who's going to argue my wish is for filled. What's funny to think about is that at this point, in terms of experience and fighting expertise, the foundation units are INCREDIBLY outmatched when compared to the last remaining defenders of Humankind. The remaining soldiers of Humanity would have faced countless anomalies, Foundation units and what have you, all while working with inferior technology and little to no prior training when it came to the paranormal; say for the G.O.C perhaps. Yeah sure, the MTF are trained specifically to go against the paranormal and perhaps even maybe have had a few encounters with paranormal entities, but never on a large scale like this! Never on a scale so vast such as the siege of fucking Ganzir! Never on a world-war like scale such as this! Suffice to say, the remaining soldiers of the Human population (excluding the Foundation dogs) oughta' have been some stone-cold, resourceful, bad-ass motherfuckers, having had dealt with so much bullshit for years and years and survived it all. To the point that I can believe a singular UNGOC soldier being able to hold off a detachment of Foundation troopers to the point that they had to whip out a damn rocket launcher and human wave tactics to put him down. You should check out the SCP 5K game on PC. As far as my understanding goes for the plot, the scientists that were crucial for the downfall of Ganzir are eliminated by the Anti Foundation Alliance and Ganzir still stands strong. The game is still in Alpha Testing but it's pretty good imo. The next update comes out next month on the 12th.

I feel like after Ganzir the foundation would be back peddling because everything they had at Ganzir either was killed or failed to do anything, and the other organizations may be able to push against the foundation, not like they are going to beat them like it is nothing though. The Foundation would likely fall but the chaos they created would either still destroy the world in another way or the Anti-Foundation collation could fight them back and use 2000 to repopulate the planet after the Foundation's defeat. This wouldn't be a clean victory as every organization is either completely destroyed pre 2000 or are no where near full power.

Because it’s not just the suffering of those alive now, it’s the suffering every human who is and will ever be born. Ending humanity was the ONLY way to end the suffering of all dead humans, past or present or future. Yet, one man slipped past, carrying something that wasn’t round. For their failure, all of humanity, past present and future will pay. Wilson wasn’t a hero, he was an unknowing pawn for the entity. It won.

They severed themselves from humanity and then tried to force every other person on the planet to experience that hell immediately. They aren't trying to save anybody. They're doing it out of spite for the entity, not out of any attempt to "help" anybody. There's not even any reason to believe that getting rid of the supposed entity would help anybody who is already experiencing that afterlife. All the Foundation did is become just as evil as the entity by murdering everybody. Not to mention that it also seems to go against the original SCP-2714, which was an infohazard that caused that afterlife for anybody who believed in it, not just for everybody everywhere, always. It also assumes that we're only understandably human because of the entity, which just doesn't really make sense. Ultimately, I feel like the idea that it was 2714 just takes away from the quality of the story as it was originally intended. There isn't supposed to be an explanation that we can understand. You shouldn't try to explain the inexplicable. It makes it far less interesting. The story is, in my opinion, much better if you don't know what the Foundation is so scared of rather than trying to shoehorn another SCP in as the explanation.

Alex got knocked out but quickly woke up being inside an building surrounded by debris, he walked around the rubble trying to find any survivors but only seeing his dead comrades from his platoon. Searching through the dust and smoke. He walked aimlessly through the smoke until he was spotted by advancing MTF soldiers which then he picked up an M4a1 from the body of one of his less lucky comrades. Having already been Low on Ammunition having to dig through the magazine pouches of the fallen members of his dead platoon members, after exchanging ammunition and running even more low on Ammunition he spotted an Fragmentation grenade on the belt of his fallen platoon member, which then he threw at the MTF soldiers. Killing one and slightly wounding two. The only reason why Ganzir had fell was because of something unknown which acted a superweapon and some guy telling the "truth". If the UNGOC was able to defend longer or even indefinitely, then all or majority of the foundation's resources would be drained and they would have to retreat. Tbh I don't mind having a painful death, as long as "IT" does nothing else but give us emotions and pain then I'm fine with that.
