I feel they were going to run away to have the baby and then maybe they told Isabella and she got upset. Followed them to the cabin and it had an argument which led to Luke going missing then ending up being dead.

Question....where is Ned from the woods? Theory: The blood on the sheet is from an abortion or miscarriage in the cabin where Megan was cleaning Or maybe Isabella was pregnant and Megan covered for her. I wonder if Isabella was a stalker...maybe she was a transfer before an met Lisa.... became obsessed over Lisa... something aweful happened and thats why she had to leave....Meets Megan....is slowly becoming obsessed....will she do something aweful again?

I thought that was probably the best episode yet because of the big reveal. A 9/10 for me. On a random note, I am glad u mentioned the Ep 4 promo @Shineonmedia because I really feel like they tricked us with that promo. Like half the stuff they mentioned in that promo didn't even happen in the actual ep.

I wonder what evidence the Sheriff has about Megan being pregnant if Isabella gave him the blood soaked sheets and they were tested and able to determine she had a miscarriage that would make since to me. However hear me out, if it’s just he found a positive pregnancy test then my theory is that Isabella was actually the one pregnant. I theorize this due to Megan’s grudge she has against her. It would make since why Megan now hates her so much if she slept with Luke and had gotten pregnant. Whether the conception happened before or after Megan and Luke started to date. Also look at the style changes of the two girls in summer 2000. Megan has her new goth/emo demeanor, which is full of teenage angst, but the way Isabella now dresses compared to summer/winter 1999 is much more conservative with muted neutral colors. As those she has become a shell of herself. Her personality has become more inward and less out spoken where as Megan’s is more outward and attention grabbing as we don’t see any other characters with a grunge vibe. I also think the person Megan was IMing is Luke’s neighbor that works at Apple since his character has yet to come into play but from trailers we know he will.

I think the conversation in the car between Jeff and Luke may have some significance later on. Jeff admits he’s dyslexic. Don’t know why, but I think it may be important later on…

I bet you're right though about Jeff's dyslexia! Also, he brings up that Luke is bad at math. What if Luke was only supposed to take a certain amount of the drugs found in his system, but he did bad math? My idea is not even half baked, so most likely not right. Honestly though, considering this show is so twisty I still doubt that Luke is dead.

Great video, explanations, and theories. And I appreciate the hard work it took to release this video so fast after the episode! So going into my questions, theories etttcc 1. The sheriff was definitely gambling. You can hear the other man who accepts the envelope with cash talk about a team (who they’re betting on) and In ep 3 Steve briefly mentioned how he picked him up drunk from the bar after the sheriff placed a big bet (and I’m assuming lost, which might also alude to a gambling problem). I’m assuming these two scenes tie in together. 2. The blood on the (blanket?) I think is from a miscarriage, but why did Isabella looked so shocked? Was she not involved in the murder? Did she know about the pregnancy? But I feel like she definitely kept it, just in case she needs it to blackmail Megan. 3. Ep 3 ended with the sheriff showing someone left a backpack full of cash in the cabin to Isabella wasn’t mentioned at all this ep. But maybe that’s Megan’s money from her shady side business, which I think is what she’s worried about is in her computer nothing really about Luke’s murder. And is her shady side business connected to the guy who’s always filming? Megan said he did something for cash last summer but doesn’t specify what but that it’s bad? 4. We never find out who put that tape for everyone to see. Was it Isabella as a sick way to get Megan to grow distant from Luke? I know it wasn’t Brett, because he said he’s too scared of their dad to do that. 5. Luke said the maid had just placed new new towels in the bathroom so the swimsuit had to be placed there recently, did Isabella put it there to cause doubt in Megan’s mind? It would slowly make her not trust Luke and Isabella gets to play victim to possibly get closer to Megan? She’s giving obsessive, from the beginning her goal was to get close to Megan. Plus we still don’t know what happened last summer with Lisa but maybe it’s a pattern. And she did crush those mysterious pills, psych meds maybe? 6. How did Luke’s mom die? Has that ever been mentioned. It’s a little shady that Janet and Luke both died?? 👀 coincidence? Orrrr maybe Steve is guilty? He is having financial trouble, maybe he took a life insurance policy on Luke and gets to claim it now. Would also explain why Luke felt like he was in danger. Steve definitely has a favorite son. 7. Why was Isabella looking through Brett’s room? Maybe she and Luke have a tape or maybe they were sneaking around behind Megan’s back. It is high school and it’s only been about 6-7 months since they all started dating, maybe some feelings were still there. 8. When did Luke die? We still don’t have a timeline of when exactly he died. There’s so many plot lines that have loose ends, that bring up more questions (like why did luke get shot AND have benzodiazepine in his system). It just feels a little messy right now. They aren’t giving enough clues, and they aren’t explaining/closing certain plot lines but still bringing in new plot lines in the next episodes.

Ooo also if I'm remembering right from episode 3, it was Luke who released the tape because he wanted to get Brent in trouble. It was all to get the favorite son dethroned I guess but it backfired because Steve still ended up defending Brent to the police. So Luke is carrying around that secret.

I think Isabella was looking for her swimsuit top in Brent’s room because she was hooking up with him. Brent was hiding the swimsuit top in Luke’s bathroom- that’s why he didn’t come down to greet them.

and didn’t we see in a trailer that Debbie finds the trash bag with the bloody sheet in Isabella’s airstream. Maybe Debbie gave it to the police to have the blood tested? Which is why they think ot was Megan’s pregnancy. But what if it was Megan’s little sister who got pregnant?

I actually really liked this episode it was interesting and had some fun moments. But I absolutely hate Brent and how his dad didn't really do anything to Stop Brent of taking photos of girls without there consent. I give episode 4 a 8/10

Oh and why was Megan cleaning the blood in the cabin? Maybe they did think they killed him but it was multiple people that night that contributed. I need them to give us more next episode. We’ll be half way through and still don’t have enough information.

I don’t they will reveal who actually killed him/how it happened until the season finale. That’s the whole big mystery of the season. They aren’t gonna reveal it half way through

First of all love your recaps!! I look forward to each and every one of them. For the sheriff, I think he was gambling at the dive bar. The girls saw him but also this wasn’t a big secret especially since Luke’s dad knew about it. He used this information to back the sherifff into a corner and feel like he owed the Chambers for always helping him out with his debts so he would make the tapes disappear and Brett wouldn’t be arrested. Also I think this episode, they made it a point to emphasize the importance of the Chambers reputation and how everything changed after the first timeline. I think Megan had a miscarriage or abortion at the cabin which is why she was cleaning the blood at the cabin and had the sheets. They were planning to run away so Luke and her could start fresh with clean slates. Kinda like how Isabella did when she first arrived. I’m sure that this reoccurring theme comes into play when we find out what happened to Luke. I do wonder how the sheriff knew she was pregnant since we didn’t see that reveal yet. I think Megan planning to run away with Luke was the initial plan so she wasn’t lying about that when talking with the sheriff. Maybe the stuff on her computer were new fake IDs for both her and Luke. Jeff could’ve helped which could explain why he keeps popping up in the background this episode. I might just be over analyzing this episode but I feel like it gives a bunch of information just subtly. I really want to know who Isabella’s pen pal is though and the relationship they had because it could explain a lot about Isabella.

17:02 - 17:12 I would say this is my theory: I think Isabella killed for Megan, who we found out from this episode was supposedly pregnant. Also, we found out that Luke didn’t accept her, but I think instead of what the sheriff said, maybe Isabella killed for Megan. I say this bc of the retort Isabella gave: “Do you want me to kill for you?”

I saw an add last week for CS2 while watching KZbin and I saw some things that I haven’t seen since. I realized that it was different from the preview of 2-4 and I only saw the last half. All I remember is that it looked like coding cabin guy is the one roughing up Luke and Luke running from someone at night in the woods. If I remember anything else or if I see it again I’ll try to catch more of it. I hope you see it or that you’ve seen it already! 🤞🏼

I think that Megan has some sort of relationship with Ned. They seem connected based on the two looks they exchanged in thr earlier episodes (at the cabin and later when they find Luke). I think he was the one who sent her the IM about learning C++. I also feel like he might be providing Megan with the drugs she takes? Not sure but maybe they once had a relationship or she was cheating on Luke.

As soon as I saw the bloody sheets I thought of miscarriage so what if Luke and Megan were going to run away together to have the baby when the Sheriff said she was pregnant Megan looked sad and disappointed like she lost something special also they found Isabella's backpack with $5,000 in the cabin that could have been the money they were going to use to run away together but maybe Luke's dad stopped them to protect his reputation or maybe his it was he's own brother

What if the bloody sheets were from Megan having and killing the baby and Luke was there and helped, but got cold feel or felt bad. Then Megan and Luke got into an argument. So Megan shot Luke with possibly the same gun that they shot the baby with then she felt bad and then he took medicine which he ended up overdosing on then Megan had to think fast and threw him in the lake where he drowned.

I have one big issue with this season. Isabella dated Luke before so why not just say the tape was from before when they were together. That would make complete sense. I honestly believe from what we have seen so far Luke would stand with her and she would be the one not o want a baby because she is so ready to go to college and get away. The whole theory about everyone being involved is a good one. Maybe he ended himself 13 reasons why style. It’s too early you know there are going to be lots more twists.

My theory is that Steve was the one who filmed them, and Luke and Brent found out, so in attempts to get Steve in trouble, Luke brings the tapes to the police. Steve blackmails them to keep quiet and when Luke isn't quiet about it, his dad threatens him and is the one who killed him
