All of this must be working because your skin looks fabulous! I do think that drinking lots of water can help replenish from the inside out and I drink at least a gallon a day. Definitely saving this video for reference next winter!

Hey tashina, I found when I have really dry skin in winter, when I take a vegan omega 3, along with upping my seed & nut intake, it balances it out little more too! I really want to try your recommendations now that we’re heading into winter down under 👌🏻

Hi! Nice video for those of us who have dry skin. I'm using some products from the Korean brand Klairs and I'm loving them (vegan and cruelty free too) Their unscented tonic is wonderful and the black deep cleansing oil... I'm in love with it. Just one thing about the video. I work at Lush and the Argan Solid Oil it's not a serum. Nothing bad bout using it with another complementary cream, but the only Serum it's Full of Grace (which does amazing things for dry skin). Those new solid oils are substitutes for bottled creams. They have the same shape so it's a bit confusing. But again, each one's routine is unique and layering things sometimes is the only way, as you said. :) Oh! and since you liked the 7 to 3, don't know if you or anyone has tried, there's another solid make up remover and it's kinda the solid an vegan version of Ultrabland, and it's called Like a Virgin (very affordable too)

hey Tashina, love the video, thanks for sharing so many cruelty free/vegan great options. my skin is very sensitive. just a quick note from a native brazilian portuguese speaker. Maracujá is the Brazilian term for passion fruit, and it comes from native brazilian languages tupi, originally mara kuya, or guarani, mburucuyà. The accent on the final a denotes that it's the stressed syllable, so it's not pronounced maraCUja, but in fact maracuJÁ. :)

My skin has been normal my entire life until this past Winter, when I suddenly got really dry. I really appreciate your recommendations! I've noticed for me thicker moisturizers work better now than my usual serums and moisturizers, which have similar ingredients but are thinner.

Oh no, I feel ya. I’m on the other side of the mountains from you in Denver. My skin this winter flipped from oily/normal to DRY (to be fair, I’m like your moms age, so mine is hormonal). I had to change EVERYTHING too, skin care, make up... lots of creams, little to no powder except for eye shadow. My holy grail is the Derma E sunkissalba Radiant Glow Face Oil under moisturizer during the day. I look glowy instead of flat, like I’m hydrated and moisturized. I missed it once, and everyone commented how tired I looked. It’s a thought. And yes, H2O. Summer should ease up, but you’ll have to up your spf game considerably. It’s brutal bring closer to the sun. Good luck! 👍🏻 love!

Hello Tashina! I am not very particular with the face cleanser i use. But once I cleanse my face, I use the following products AM : Mario Badescu facial spray with aloe, cucumber and green tea, First aid beauty ultra repair cream or sometimes I use LXMI creme du nil depending on how dry my skin is on that day. PM : After cleansing I use Mamonde hydrating beauty water or sometimes Thayers toner, LXMI pure nilotica melt as face mask/moisturizer. :)

Depending on your body weight, drinking a gallon of water might be too much for you and that can cause kidney and heart problems. I would suggest try adding electrolytes into your water. The electrolyte will help your body to absorbs the water. My skin was peeling everyday in AZ when I first moved here, and it calmed down after summer was over. Anyway, some products that I find helpful is definitely doing sheet masks frequently. In the summer, I would do sheet mask every other day to maintain the moisture of my skin. Winter time is a little bit more humid, so I would do it 1-2 times a week. The product I tried that worked for my skin was Drunk Elephant's Polypeptide cream (the light green one). I tried the ELF moisturizer you mentioned, I don't think it helps with my skin. Another cheaper option for oil is from Aura Cacia - Jojoba oil. I don't use it everyday, but only use it when my skin feels extra dry that day. Personally I think it works better than the Tarte's maracuja oil, and I had used many bottles of the maracuja oil before.

I appreciate your video but I have dry dry skin as well, been living in AZ for 3 years skin had not adjusted. I will say I feel like if you have to layer products that many times through out the day, they are not working. I’ve been there. My favorite is mad hippie, expensive; I think the moisturizer is 26$ for 1oz but standard name brand price. You should try it. Clinique yellow moisturizer actually saved my skin and I know they test on animals but I was desperate!!

I use the Hydrating Serum and the Performance Cream and really enjoy both. The serum I will keep buying and the cream is lightweight and liquid-y, a little goes a long way and would recommend for all skin types. My skin is pretty normal right now and I've been using it as a night cream. I could probably benefit from something a little richer/thicker but it's working for now. My skin doesn't feel parched in the morning and I can get away with not washing my face immediately in the morning. Hope that helps!

@@sherrythomas3028 Yeah I'd love to know more about his cleansers actually. The cream is nice but it's unique with its jelly texture and very faint tacky finish. Don't think everyone would like the experience of applying it but I think it does well enough for a light moisturizer. I really enjoy the serum though and recommend if you're looking to hydrate your skin.

I also had crazy, crazy dry skin. I got so desperate, bcoz my skin was soooo dry, it felt so uncomfortable, it was on my mind all day. I tried everything but found nothing but salt free butter. It was amazing! and then started consuming it and within a week all the dryness was gone. I legit melted 1 tblespn of butter in hot water and drank it morning and night. I cannot afford some of the stuff recommended above and now I just eat the butter.

I really want to try these products! I have oily/sensitive skin and it’s quite difficult to find the perfect product which suits my skin! I wish we had more brands such as ELF in store here in France! I have a little question, I’ve been using a new cleanser for two weeks now it’s for “oily skin with imperfections” but since I’ve used it I feel more bumps everywhere on my skin, I don’t really know if it means that it’s not working for me, maybe too harsh? Anyway amazing video as always! Much love Tashina!

Same. I moved from Michigan two years ago and I thought I had oily skin. Now in Nevada I couldn't be dryer. Every AM: the ordinary Buffet serum and the HA moisturizer, PLUS ELF beauty shield spf50 tinted moisturizer. PM I use that lush solid serum, retinol in oil, and derma e vitamin E cream. My hair is dryer too. Have to use a LOT of creams like ion repairs and silk drops, and love beauty and planet hair creams. My hair is so frail and prone to breakage.

Agree with the commenters here who say a gallon of water is too much. Andrew Weil, the integrative medicine doctor, says that eight eight-ounce glasses of water are enough. My doctor says the same thing. I keep reading water helps our bodily processes, but there's not a proven link between dry skin and the water we drink. Here's what the Mayo Clinic says. www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/adult-health/expert-answers/hydrated-skin/faq-20058067 If you look at their list, the only thing you aren't already doing is using a room humidifier at night. I think that would help. Hope your skin calms down soon.
