CRUISE IN RIO: IT'S DANGEROUS? WHAT TO DO?
Word from a Brazilian. Yes, Rio de Janeiro is a dangerous and unsafe place, but it is beautiful and remarkable and it is possible to visit and have wonderful memories. We've been to Rio a few times and we haven't had any problems, no robberies, no violence, on any of our cruises.

I am cruising from Rio and I was just robbed. Lost my iPhone to some thugs. This place IS dangerous.

We agree. We are going on a cruise with Celebrity in April that ends in Rio. The city is even more dangerous. This time we go from the ship to the airport.

@@worldincruise Smart. This hellhole country will never see me again. Cops just stood there while it happened and didn’t even help afterwards. You feel safe in the city because everywhere is full of police, but you only notice them for the useless deadbeats they are when you need them. They are just for show.
