Due to Mexico’s location (near the USA on the Atlantic and the Pacific) it would limit the destinations for cruises, especially from Florida.

We cruised 13 times on Disney from 1998 with our last in 2017 and loved every one. We reached the top loyalty tier. Since the pandemic Disney have ridiculously raised their prices (double pre and post COVID), started charging for things that were previously included, doubled the specialty dining prices, and added a new even higher loyalty tier (reducing the value of our current tier and removing perks). Bottom line, we now cruise with other lines.

Cruise lines think they are currently undercharging by 15%-20% they will continue to raise prices. Thats why i stopped cruising years ago. A 1 week trip to an ALL INCLUSIVE resort in cancun is about tje same price. And im not stuck on a ship with 5000 other people.

Been on 20 Disney cruises so we are Platinum level status. Since DCL came up with the new top “Pearl” level, which requires 25 cruises, we are NEVER going back. We now are building our status on Silversea.

A. We cruised with Disney on our 20th anniversary which also happened to be the same year our son graduated high school. We loved it, from beginning to end. Our son and daughter loved it as well.

We will definitely keep cruising. It’s the best way to be able to see many places on your journey instead of just one. We love being a board the ship, and being taken to lots of beautiful places, while enjoying the journey aboard the ship.

I went to Cozumel last December and stayed on the ship and had a wonderful lunch and cocktails by the pool. I have been to Cozumel at least 10 times so there is nothing I need or want from Mexico.

We’ve cruised Disney 5 times. There is not enough things for kids to do on their ships. I recently cruised Royal Caribbean and they had so many things to do for kids and teens. When I cruised Disney, I thought that there would be so many things for kids/teenagers to do, much like the parks. Sadly, it is nothing like the parks and more geared toy adults who have the money. Royal, is what I originally thought Disney would be like. My kids want nothing to do with a Disney cruise saying “they are boring compared to Royal” Disney is great for adults in my opinion but not so much for kids and teenagers. We’re doing Wonder of the Seas in December. Enjoy your next cruise everyone

Regarding Disney Cruise, it was the only cruise i have been on, that i wanted it to end. As i have tried to figure out what made me feel that way, besides the food tasting like park food, it was a beautiful ship and had Disney “magic” everywhere, so why did i want off and why was I soooo bored? Imagine visiting Disney for a day…but this time those cool rides are not open. Now stretch that 1 day to 7 days…7 days of its a small world, or similar going off in your head, via sight and sound. Disney is great for 1 day or even 2, but 7 and being missing the thrill rides. It was too much. We had our 10 year old who went to the childrens club 1 day. For some reason he never wanted to go back. One last thing, the island had this challenge to have you put on mask and snorkel and find treasures. You could barely see through the water to find anything. Everything was like covered in algae. Dirty looking. Not what I expected at all.

Yes. DONT BRING YOUR PASSPORT. There’s literally no reason unless you know you do in fact need it for some reason (I literally can’t think of a reason why). People get afraid that if they miss the ship they will be stranded without it…not how that works. If you do miss the ship and the captain has given the order to leave, they will go to your cabin and attempt to locate it (in your safe) and leave it with the line’s port delegate and they will assist you with next steps. Have a shore exertion bag that is cross-body (preferably) or otherwise hard to snatch off of your body and doesn’t have wide openings that make it easy to slip a hand in. Be aware of your surroundings…that means keep your phone out of hand when you don’t absolutely need it and don’t get caught up with distractions that grifters set up to make you an easy mark for pickpocketing.

The passport is sometimes needed for certain excursions if you are going between countries. For instance, in Alaska on the Skagway White Pass train/Yukon Suspension Bridge that goes to the Yukon in Canada, you will need to show the border people your passport to get back into the US. The ship does not need the passport to get back on the ship, only your sea pass card or medallion. Also, some countries need the passport to enter the country.

I once visited Cozumel on my first cruise and just walked around the port area with a fellow passenger. We were asked to show ID by a Mexican security officer shortly after getting off the ship. In some European ports, I've been asked to show my passport as well so I usually bring it but have it secured in my crossbody bag.

I was just on the Disney Magic at the beginning of August! My son 16 and I both loved it! He played basketball all day and I got a facial and a massage. We spent the port days on Disney’s private island and in Cozumel. We watched new release movies (3), we also went to Disney and Marvel trivia, 3 Broadway styled shows! We were totally busy the entire week! I would 💯 percent go on another Disney cruise. I would go for longer than a week for sure!

A few years ago I ported in Cozumel. I was about to head back to the ship and took my ship card out to have it ready. Someone came and snatched it out of my hand right in front of the police. He brought it back once he realized it wasn’t a credit card. From that day forward I swore off Mexico.

We are at an age where we want a fairly chill environment, and time to just relax. First of all, Disney is terribly expensive! Secondly, their target demographic is families with young children. Ours are grown and the oldest has 2 grandchildren! Thirdly, I am not very happy with the direction Disney seems to be going, and we don't feel comfortable about helping to support them right now. We went on a couple of cruises with Carnival, but we found it a bit too manic. We plan to try Holland America next- we have been told that it would be a good match for us.

Yes. I was one of those skeptical middle age guys back in 2014 when my wife and grown children pressured me in to doing a Disney cruise. I’m now a Gold Club member starting my 10th cruise with them. Disney does something right, in giving teenagers and little ones and adults, all their own space onboard. They do cost a little more, but I have never been disappointed.
