A--Because I was going to be alone on Christmas, last year I went on a Viking River cruise down the Rhine, Amsterdam to Switzerland. I spent Christmas Day in Lucerne. It was lovely!

A. YES, since we don't have family near, we go on Thanksgiving or Christmas cruises regularly. Book them 10 to 11 months ahead to get better pricing.

Ever since I read "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham a holiday cruise has been on my bucket list! This year we will be on the QMII for 13 days over Christmas and New Years! This trip checks off 5 items off our list! And I agree, we can't believe you aren't on the list!

We “skipped Halloween” spending half a month at sea and as exciting as the event was that day on board it wasn’t nearly as magical as memories made the entire season leading up too because they only decorated and had events the day of and so it taught us a lesson, while we have young ones we will continue to make their memories magical for the holidays and enjoy all the cruises we can any other time of year, I can’t imagine how it would feel to skip Christmas looking at it with a new perspective

The Royal Catibbean ship, with no running water or flushing toilets, should have remained docked. That was a nefarious way they tried to avoid fixing the problem in port. No cruise should be allowed to leave a port, without going through a pre embarkation check. Those are serious health issues.

A yes, HAL for Christmas and NCL for Easter. The Easter one was nice because they put chocolates on the tables for breakfast and my Son and Husband had a great time gathering chocolate eggs come closing time. : )

We were on Voyager in January and hit a storm and had 6 inches of water on our balcony and at least 2 inches of water throughout our cabin. In June we were on Harmony and our toilet just started flooding, apparently multiple cabins throughout the ship had the same issue.

I’m going to Rio next year at Christmas time. I didn’t want to go at this time because I have a big family. but Regent Seven Seas had a discount for singles on this trip. I am spending the money for the small ship because of arthritis. You are right not to overspend on a cuise. I have to do fewer because I need the small ship. I look for sales and don’t get the perfect trip, but I get a great trip that I can afford.

Yes, 12 Holiday Cruises. 8 times was on B2B, actually B4B's, Thanksgiving threw Xmas. Ships I been on put up Xmas Decorations Thanksgiving nite , wake up Friday and Ship is all Decked Out. Happened on all but one Thanksgiving Cruise

We were on Grandeur of the Seas in June... and there were some plumbing problems. The South Pacific lounge... the carpet was sopping wet in spots. We were on the ship for a special function, and had concerts in that room every night (I think it's normally the comedy club) and the floor was just gross. They knew it was going on because we saw serv-pro fans in there... but they were off while we were having our events. And right outside our room, during the entire cruise, was a running serv-pro fan... though we did not have flooding issues in our room, there must have been something going on in the wall outside our room or something.

Yes two...2018 7-day Carnival cruise left the Saturday right after Thanksgiving 🦃and the other in 2019 10-day on Royal we return the Monday right before Christmas 🎄 Definitely prefer to cruise during the cooler months. Both ships they had started putting up decorations. On Royal we song Christmas carols on Promenade deck and silent disco in Christmas attire.
