My Dad worked for Chevy Engineering and bought a new 1955 Chevy Bel Air with 265 cu in. V8 with '3 on the tree'. It was powder blue. The interior of the 56 is very similar. There is something elemental about the early cars. Basic and visceral. The straight cut gears in the transmission had a distinctive whine....like cam driven gearing on a Honda VTec motorcycle and many other motorcycles and cars. Throughout the 60's and 70's he brought the fastest cars home from work at the Chevy Tech center and after dinner we would take them out and open them up. All of them, Corvettes, Chevelles, Camaros, SS cars with the fastest big blocks. I remember him bringing home a split window '63 Corvette and a coveted LS6 454/450 horse Chevelle with Muncie 4 speed I speed shifted on Woodward dragging other cars of the day. There are only a couple of cars that would stay with LS6 Chevelle in 1970. I hope you get a chance some day to own or drive a 1969 Camaro Z28 with solid lifter 302. That car is an icon because of how it makes you feel to drive. Few engines sound that good. Old Ferraris with more cylinders and webbers are about the only thing that sound better. So these old cars are in my DNA and I became an automotive engineer like my Dad. You do these cars proud. You were born about 40 years too late. There was no better time than to grow up in the 60's...the day of the Beach Boys you were listening to. The setting that you shot in this video is breathtakingly beautiful. You Liv are quite a woman.

Stumbled onto your channel, you checking out a 1967 GTO. The 67 GTO was my ride for many years. Bought mine new, a factory order. Took delivery in November 1966 from Meadows Pontiac in Portland. I was 20 years old. Nicely optioned Baltic blue hardtop, 4 speed, Safetytrac differential, Rally l wheels, console, instrument package, tinted glass, interior light (reading light) group, AM radio and Delco 8 track player, rear window defogger, fast ratio manual steering and more. Happy to report I never wrecked the Goat, but I did have a few close calls and a lot of speeding tickets. I credit the fast ratio steering and youthful reaction times to getting out of some situations on Pacific Northwest’s often wet roads. Sold it in 2010 after rebuilding the engine and Muncie M-20. Owned it a few months short of 44 years. Nice seeing an attractive young woman and fellow gear head here on KZbin. You remind me of my girlfriend Betty, back in 1968-69. She liked my GTO and bought a white 64 GTO 4 speed. Fond memories. Enjoy your channel. Keep up the fine work…

thanks for this video, I did the PCH back when Dukes of Hazzard was on--even saw someone's version of Cooter's Tow Truck on the highway over and couldn't believe the number of E type Jags driving around. took the route to Big Sur and came across an accident...some kid had actually "borrowed" his brother's Z28 for a sunday race and crashed it. the older brother kept saying, "just glad you're alive" and i swear i did look around for a movie camera :) I live on the other coast, so our Route 1 is flatter and more densely packed. If it wasn't winter, the seafood, fried food and ice cream joints would still be open, just like when bikers cruise from bar to bar on the weekends. wish I had my 56 Ford-door running, would be nice to cruise like this (even with the distortion in the corners of the wrap around windshield) with 3 on the tree and a Y block humming away.

Love your videos Liv. You are such a beautiful and very humble gal. You’re right, California wouldn’t be so bad if you didn’t have so many criminal politicians. It would be very hard for me to leave living on Florida’s Gulf coast beach, well 1/4 mile from it.
@newtonfirefly35842 жыл бұрын
The issues with the 'politicians', politics', 'parties' is mostly not 'criminal', though some do and have existed there as within every State including Florida. Chicago, New York, D.C., Philadelphia are among the most known, though Honolulu is also. My awareness of Mayor Tom Bradly former LAPD, LAPD Chief Daryl Gates, Governor Jerry Brown, are outdone by more recent dishonest, distorted, invalid, Authoritarian Glob/Elite selected [not elected] 'puppets', people, promoters of improper, incorrect, even illegal activities, sometimes in direct violation of the US Constitution as Maxine Waters [active prior and during the 1992 Riots], Eric Swalwell, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, GavinNewsom[gruesome], State, County, City, local legislators, councils Personally lived in the SoCal, LA area from 1982-93. thus experienced the influences, affects, effects of many of them and remember, recall the State Legislature passing their illegal, unlawful, invalid, Unconstitutional ban upon assault rifles and ammunition during the mid-1980's, which was finally challenged in US District Federal Court with the decision and ruling for the Plaintiffs against the State, which deem the Regulations, Laws Unconstitutional, Null and Void in February 2021. Similarly, the more recent District and Supreme Court Decisions, Rulings against the NYC, & NY concealed weapon ban among others against Four Governor's Orders, Mandates, etc. during 'COVID-19' in 2020; KY [July], PA, [Sept.], NY&CA [Dec]. Actually every nearly State Governor along with numerous Counties, Cities declared their Orders, Mandates, Shutdowns, Lock downs, school, business, public closings, restriction, limitations, requirements, all from the declared HSS PHE via Secr'y Alzar, Ron De Santis was among these Governors with his EO, Mandates, etc., though among those which lifted them early, but not before nor due to the successful Federal Court Judge decisions, rulings in KY, PA as Unconstitutional, violations of the 1st, 12th Amendments. Gov. Ron DeSantis is just another Authoritarian selected 'Glob/Elite" puppet as DJT, MP, JRB, OHB, KH, GWB, RCh, WJ&HC, AlG, GWHB, RR, JEC, EdM, GRF, RMN, STA, LBJ, HHH, RFK, JFK, DDE, HST, FDR, etal Ron De Santis, as nearly all of these State Governors are still showing their Governance as Authoritarian Glob/Elite 'puppets' !! See what happens in AZ: The clearly distorted, dishonest, controlled, selected Glob/Elite puppet, SoS, Katie Hobbs, which clearly controls the State election results, enacted numerous of invalid, illegal rules, implementations manged to now certify these certainly distorted, arranged, controlled AZ election results from Nov 2022, as she did from Nov 2020 to select, declare Katie Hobbs as "Governor-Elect" though the clear majority opposed choosing, selecting Katie, rather Kari Lake [also a former local AZ news anchor personality, thus selected Glob/Elite puppet] along with Mark Kelly as Senator though both were clearly in the minority among numerous others, and all of the State legislators within bot 'parities' are clearly such too, for decades, allowing these invalid, insecure, directed, easily adjusted set, interfered with, computer controlled election equipment systems, as within every State, country, city, precinct, district, via each and every state legislature, within the USA. The legislatures have been directed, dictated, controlled to established the use of these systems and government officials to allow the election results to be shown, declared, certified for their selected individual candidates within every position and intended, desired result on the ballot(s). These legislators have specifically allowed, funded, instituted, established the use of these insecure, invalid election systems without any proper safeguards, security, verification, certification process, methods, intentionally, purposely, which also established these 'politicians' in their positions equally by the very same means of controlling the of the election results, outcome, individuals, officials, etc. Thus, these will never be corrected to achieve any proper results, except those directed, dictated, controlled by the "Glob/Elite" as within all countries worldwide that execute some type of 'elections', as seen in Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, all Carribbean islands, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russian, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Burma/Myanmar, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, CCP-China, Vietnam, Laos Cambodia, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Israel [without electronic systems], et al The beauty of California and the entire West Coast is Grand, including in Vancouver, B.C. Baja California, Mexico, along to the south of Argentina, in the Pacific Islands and numerous other locations worldwide ! The main issues within California can be described as among the more Authoritarian, Controlling, Governance among the highest State Taxes within the USA, though less than the Parliamentary Government, Governance, Socialist/ISM of Canada, UK, Australia, NZ, SA, France, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, etc. and certainly far less than those of the Communist/ISM Governance Totalitarian within CCP-China, N. Korea, Cuba, or remaining Authoritarian, Totalitarian Monarchies within Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran [elections facade] and few in Africa. Still, while living in Florida or other locations, these unique beautiful nature and natural, physical landscapes, costs, environments can be experienced, enjoyed, appreciated, among all of those within California, USA, and worldwide too. It is just time, 'money' expense, costs as are available, desired, chosen, selected. Good Luck, All the Best, Sincerely
