Nice cabin. On my previous ship the senior physician’s cabin was on deck 5, and the other doctors’ were on deck 4 forward..on deck zero we only had the nurses and medical admins. Beautiful medical center you have also. Good video doc! #teammember

He doesn't say which line or ship this is. That makes a HUGE difference. In most cases, the ship's doctor(s) are not employed by the cruise line directly. Similar to the way the spa operates, they are typically employed by an outside company which is then hired by the cruise line to manage the medical center and personnel for those positions. The outside company takes care of verifying credentials, etc. as well as meeting whatever requirements the cruise line may wish for their personnel. Most docs have experience in either internal medicine or emergency.

Why yes he didn’t say the line or ship that he was on. But if you pay attention to things in the background it appears that he is on Carnival Spirit. Multiple Carnival logos in the background and there is a paper pinned above his desk that says Spirit Itinerary.

If the ship he is on is Carnival then it is likely his accommodations would be a lot nicer on other cruise lines. Carnival is the lower end of cruiselines.

Wow, the accommodations is still adequate. I wonder what are the accommodations for the public health officer. I believe the public health officer is like the third officer in charge of the ship.
@deck4forward Жыл бұрын
Public Health Officer is a lower ranking position not a senior officer position, not to be confused with Environmental Officers who are 3-stripes Senior officers.

Ohh I never saw a cabin with a window for someone part of the tripulation, this one seems super big for a cruise ship. Hi, I'm a baby doctor and I would love to be part of the medical team in a cruise ship, but I understand that as a baby doctor I don't have the experience to be a cruise doctor, so I would like to ask u if you think it's possible to apply as a nurse instead, if a work as a doctor for 1 year at least. I'm from Venezuela btw. Your answer would be gladly appreciated :)

Usually deck one is the lowest the public can go. There are typically 2-4 decks below that which are accessible by the crew only.
@tbates19872 жыл бұрын
@@NorCalPhilit depends on the cruse line.. some start the lowest deck as deck one or zero, others the lowest passenger deck or the deck at the waterline. There is usually 2 to 4 decks under the water line with the lowest deck full of tanks and machinery like engines and pumps, then the decks above have crew cabins, laundry, food storage, trash room, etc.

Tend to place medical centre , midships and as low down as possible , This gives maximum stability QE2, C6 was the location of our medical centre. Dr Roberts was the surgeon onboard. wrote a book called .sea sick, BASED ON TIME IN C6, well worth a read if you have any salt in your blood, C deck sixth stairwell, John.

I spent few hours as a patient in pre covid times in med center. They were pretty relaxed, I was the only patient. Med personal spent 1/2 hour studying how to use ultrasound machine and then similar time try to put me IV pain killer ( 8 attempts, no success, every single person tried, ). Then sent me to onshore emergency during port stay in the second half of the day. But their diagnosis was spot on, actually.

Back in the early 2000's we took our first cruise and had to use the medical facilities. The admin/nurse was actually the doctor for the crew. The doctor was a caucasian doctor that looked after the guests. Both doctor's with the same experience and pedigree but the admin/nurse was Philippino as was the crew. We would have been happy with either dr but we were guests and caucasian so you know how that went.

Just for information sakes the same way you give information about other things like accomodation here. You aren't the recruiter and neither are you the interior designer to give details on accomodation without a problem, so I don't understand why you don't give detailed information about actual application for the job. Iv sent several emails in vain. That's why I'm asking 😁 Especially for African doctors
