I found the MSC Meraviglia stunning, the balcony suites more generous than many other cruise lines and the crew top notch. We now have a Transatlantic cruise booked for May on the Divina and another Divina Caribbean cruise in early 2024. Really looking forward to it. We've watched several ship tours and totally love what I'll just call the Sophia Loren classy look of the ship. Very different from the Meraviglia, but equally stunning.

We just got off of the oasis of the seas. This ship was docked next to us. It looked really nice. We will be looking into it for our next cruise

Great video! Thank you for taking the time to make it for us. Such a beautiful ship. I keep hearing all these horror stories about MSC, including the Davina. I really have a hard time believing it's truly as bad as they say. I have a strong feeling that most of the bad reviews are spoiled rich folks who have only sailed on $$$$ cruises like Crystal and are used to Michelin star silver service dining. They are usually the ones who scream the loudest in reviews. I understand it's a budget cruise and wouldn't expect the level of service you'd expect from a cruise costing 10x as much. One of the biggest gripes I hear about is the food. Is it truly bad or are we talking about quality that you'd expect from a mainstream buffet or restaurant like Golden Corral, Cracker Barrel or your average casino buffet? I love good food, but for the price point, I'm not above eating at working class restaurants like I mentioned. Thanks!

Benjamin Rapp thank you for your comment Benjamin! I like MSC myself and I am okay with food on board, at least you can always choose something else as there is plenty of choice. Food can be healthy or not, I will never understand people that eat French fries or hamburgers and I know that they will think that my choice of food is really bad and not tasty for them. I tried many other cruise lines and I can honestly say that at times I was disappointed by their buffet choice ( no veg, fruit or healthy snacks were offered).I travel a lot and I’m pretty picky with food , however , I find MSC food healthy and close to Italian food standards to which I’m used to 😋

@@CruisePassion Thanks for the reply! My wife and I can enjoy just about every style of food as long as it's prepared right, so we're not overly concerned about the style, but rather the quality of it. You can take something as simple as pasta that will range everywhere from $100+ a plate to industrialized, in a can variety in vain of Chef Boyardee. As long as the quality is somewhere in the middle, like you'd expect from a moderately priced restaurant in Everytown, USA, we'd be more than satisfied.

MSC prices are very competitive. But Divina and her sister ships do not look like a low budget ship. Divina is a beautiful ship as you can see in this vid. MSC does attract more Europeans to their cruises, even their Caribbean cruises because MSC is a very recognizable brand in the European market. Similar as Carnival and Royal Caribbean are recognizable in the American market. I was on Divina back in summer of 17 and there were as many non-English speaking passengers as were English speaking passengers. Like most other cruise ships, the crew are a mix from many parts of the globe. As Cruise Passion (the person who posted this vid) said, you'll see more kids during the summer and other school vacation times.
