I tried to send a co-worker and his wife a gift on Norwegian and I couldn’t even look it up by his name. It was only under his wife’s name because she made the reservation which meant I needed her birthday info and I’d never met her! I finally had to tell him what I was doing to get the info. It’s a horrible setup for surprises! I just wanted to surprise them on their first cruise!

We are looking on going on the Norwegian breakaway in November 2022 starting at New York and finishing in New Orleans we have been given the premium drinks package and also the special dining what is included in the premium deal and do you know how much the WiFi is has i would like to pre pay like you do Thanks again

The drink package will be unlimited alcohol (up to a certain $) and soda. No drink we have ever ordered was not included. You should have some wifi too but you can upgrade it.

You posted this 1o months ago and you said the 6 bottle water package was like $14. It's now $20. I also noticed the go karts were $10 only a few weeks ago...now it's showing $15 per person. Seems they inflate their prices on a whim. Kind of disappointing. I'm cruising on Bliss in a few weeks so doing my research. Good info. Do you know if drinks are free at Margaritaville if you have the at sea drink package?

I’m going on my very first cruise with Norwegian breakaway in December. We are going to great stirrup cay Bahamas, Ocho Rios Jamaica ,George Town Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico what excursions do you recommend to do at those ports?

We’ve done Ocho Ríos several times and I highly recommend the blue hole excursion NCL offers. In Cozumel we’ve found most of the lines excursions leave something to be desired so we just grab a taxi to Gold club beach, it’s like a 20$ taxi ride for 4 people

How often does NCL usually raise rates. Trying to price and figure how much for my 25th anniversary...we're taking the cruise in 2030...we are making that our honeymoon as well

$99/day/person for the drink package?? That's $700 for a 7 day cruise just for booze?!?! I'm also going to assume they make everyone in the same cabin buy the package, so if there's two of you in the cabin, that's an extra $1400 (plus tips) expense for your cruise. Good heavens!!

Agreed! We would never buy it either. But luckily you can almost always get the drink package for free (just paying the gratuities)

I would never pay that price but I do pick it when it's offered free with the package. Besides that. I don't know anyone who could drink that much to make it worth the price, and we like to party. Personally I think they shouldn't offer any internet while on the ship. Our best cruise was when my brother didn't get his teenager's the internet. We saw their faces, they interacted with everyone. But when they get the internet, we see the top of the heads during the trip. Cruises cost too much for them to be on their phones. There's so much to do on the ship that they shouldn't get bored.

if you choose it for free as one of the add ons, its only 1 charge of $138 for the whole cruise.

I agree that, on its own, $99pppd + 20% gratuity is crazy. However, when you look at the cost of the cruise + UBP (unlimited beverage package) plan, it’s virtually the same if not less than other lines. Ex: we recently booked with NCL and paid ~ $1500 pp for a mini suite which included 4 Free at Sea offers, gratuities on the UBP and also the DSC (daily service charge). Carnival’s rate for a similar cruise was about $500 cheaper BUT that was without the UBP, once you added that, the cost was only $100 less & that’s without the free WiFi, specialty dining and shore excursions NCL offered. It always makes sense to compare equivalent offers.

NCL has a bunch of 3-day or weekend cruises that include discounted air. NCL will fly you out to the port and then fly you home. My airfare is only $99 for a round trip Oklahoma/ Miami, FL.

Rona Adams they do. I just got off the breakaway and I packed a case of water in a suitcase. They delivered it to my cabin no questions asked

Elena сд I’m not sure since I’ve never been on that ship but I would assume The Norwegian policy is the same for all ships. I just did a search online and did find something from 2016 that says it’s prohibited. But when I booked my cruise and I was looking at my vacation through the Norwegian APP it said I could bring 1 case of water per person and one bottle of wine per person. We only took one case of water with no problem.

We have had it with the kids as teenagers and it was not a problem, we just let them know where we were going since they weren't allowed in there. If you have little kids you could always check them into the kids clubs.
