Thanks for taking me to the car show Div , I enjoy going to the shows when I can, we have a small show in my town in the summer and a very big car show down on the gulf coast usually the first week in October it does last a full week, maybe you have heard of it, it’s “Cruising the Coast “ cars from all over the USA and other countries too it’s about 4hr drive for me to get there and haven’t entered a car but just enjoy looking at them and talking to the people

I had a black 79 F-250 4x4 just like that one. 400 cu in engine, C6 trans. Mechanically I never had to touch it, but the damn thing rusted in half. Literally. The frame broke in half one day on the way home from work. It sagged about 6" on the right side but still drove it 50 miles home. When I got home, I jacked it up til the frame was straight, clamped a 3x3 angle iron to the side of the frame and welded it on. It lasted until I sold it 5 years later. The cab was so rusted out that during an emergency stop, the cab slid 6" forward. Had to back it up real fast and slam the brakes to get it back in place. The only thing keeping the bed sides from flopping out sideways was the ladder racks. That was a good old truck til the tin worm got ahold of it.

Check for a baffle, if not try Making a simple plate for the inside or just tie a rag under and around the cap and remove it when he wants to show off the engine. Party on !

Nice meet up with some good looking vehicles. I had a 1974 Hornet 2dr fast back with the 258? Straight 6 with automatic and buckets out here in Manitoba, Canada. When I lived in Winnipeg. I always loved the look of those cars. I owned it in the late 1980s and someone wanted it more than me and bought it from me. Now I wish I would have kept it!

@@ratrodsafrica .. Bob don't like working in the cold.. took a few weeks off.. just got back in the shop today... It's been pretty cold here.. teen's at night 30-40s day time temp... It's warming back up this week.. but rain.. should have a video up this week.. if I can get Bob in the mood.. 😆,, to video stuff that is.. got battery box , battery disconnect, gauges wired up..hooked up.mounted... And most of the wiring done today.. finish it up tomorrow... The 30 coupe is about done.. few odds n ends.. to tie up.. install steering column. Light's, Pedals and seats,, she's ready to go.. pretty much... Everything is already fabricated and fitted.. final install after paint now.. Be well brother.. tell wayne I said have a lake one Guy's.. 👍😎💯

I bought a1986.5 Nissan Hardbody in March 1986. First one I was able to find when they came out. Paid $10300 US with nice options and and Leer Camper shell. It had the Z24 and a 5 peed......Loved that truck!!!!

Thanks so much for bringing me along Diff. While growing up, my Dad had an AMC Hornet, not the wagon, a 4dr sedan. That was a good car til it rusted away, Cold and Icey here in central maine - USA. You have cured me of my cabin fever ( for this day) and got me excited over the idea of cruising my Thunderbird in the spring. Loved the ride and Friends.

Hey Div, Another fun little gearhead meeting and show off event. What a wonderful place to spend some time right at the beach. I have watched you make several road trips but never realized that you folks paint the road lines different from ours. We put the yellow in the middle and the white on the side on most of our roads and highways. Here in farm country we have plenty of dirt roads also. Good to see you boys having a good day out. I still have a couple feet of snow in my yard. Temp got up to 31 degrees fahrenheit today. Been below zero for nearly two weeks, but we are expecting 50's by the end of this week. Great mix of hot rods. FYI I just wanted to pass along the fact that a hornet sportabout wagon has a great roof skin on them. Meaning the rib details are alot smaller than most Great to use for many things on rat rod that you would like to personalize. Roof skin on a chop running boards floor panels etc. They are just Kool But getting a little hard to find here Love the channel and content 👌
