Can you get your marriage license in your local state before having ceremony on cruise boat?

The Marriage License must be from the same country where you are getting married. If it's at sea then it must come from where the ship is registered. The wedding dept on each cruise line can assist with this.

Can you give information re: “prerecorded music”- does the couple send the music in advance? If not, what music can we expect?

You will have to check with the wedding planner for the cruise line you will be sailing. There are rules for music playback on ships, so they will have to guide you on what is allowed.

we are considering embarkation and we want a specific song for the ceremony and then for our first dance and they were able to confirm they have both songs, you should reach out and ask!
