Birkenstocks are the only shoes I've worn for the last 45 years. I'm a retired ICU nurse and I swear by them. Travel, work, or home: plastic (EVA) ones for in the water, closed toed ones for inclement weather, even plastic closed toed ones to keep your feet dry in the pouring rain and of course, sandals for good weather and they even have boots. So many styles, so many colors.

No doubt this is just another cleverly disguised way for NCL to increase prices ! I saw another video on YT where a host compared prices of the same cruise the day before and then after when the more at sea” was announced and the overall price increased by over $ 200

My shoe of choice is always my barefoot shoes. I will wear others when necessary, but they are the shoes that cause me the least amount of pain.

I do have a specific few shoes I wear on cruises! Sketchers are the best!!

I have terrible feet and wear orthotics. I have my tennis shoes and a pair of teva sandals. Either one of these I can wear all day. I don't really take any others except for a pair of flat sandals for dinner and then go back to my room and change.

When there is an outbreak like this on a cruise ship and you have to go to medical, does the individual have to pay or does the cruise ship absorb the cost?
@SharonatSeaTravelАй бұрын
Thanks Barbara. I'm not sure of the answer. I think it will depend on the situation, the cruise line, the destinations and the cause of the illness. I'm sure cruise lines won't want to pay for medical treatment if they are not at fault.

What hotel do you use when in Fort Lauderdale? I am looking for some recommendations
@SharonatSeaTravelАй бұрын
We have done Embassy Suites a few times..very close to a plaza with stores for pre-cruise needs and an awesome sports bar. (Duffys) We almost always do a Hilton Hotel with Breakfast included..try Hampton Inn or Home 2 Suites. Thanks!!!

I saw something about needing Visa in 2025 to go to Europe. I believe it was in MAY 2025 when we would need to start having them? Are you able to cover that, if it's true? Just the basics nothing specific.

"ETIAS: Americans will need to apply for authorization through the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS). ETIAS is an electronic travel authorization that's linked to a traveler's passport. It's expected to be operational in spring 2025"
@SharonatSeaTravelАй бұрын
As far as a real Visa goes, there may be some countries that require an E- Visa that can be easily obtained online. Your cruiseline should have information regarding what ports you would need them for. The ETIAS authorization is scheduled for 2025, but has already been postponed a number of times and currently there is no specific start date. If needed, it is expected to also be an easy online process. For now, just make sure your passport is good for 6 months after the end of your travels.

Hoka Shoes is my prefered mode of foot transportation on a cruise. I booked a cruise last year for June 2025 on NCL Jewel, do I get the frre at sea or themore at sea ???
@CPO-SnarkyАй бұрын
NCL omitted a keyword for the new 'More at Sea' program. It should be called 'Spending More at Sea'. You're welcome.
@lorigrimaldi194Ай бұрын
It's ridiculous. We do the free at sea, because we feel it's well worth it, mathematically, plus the sail away cabins are always sold out, no matter what cruise you look at. I really don't care about an extra specialty meal or premium liquor, plus the higher gratuities that come with those. We have an Alaskan cruise that I booked 2 months ago. Thank goodness we will still have the Free at sea. I don't think I will be booking with NCL again anytime soon, unless they bring the sail away prices back, but I doubt that will happen. We have been loyal to NCL since 2006, but I think that may change
