Hi guys! They should have a drop-down bed for sure in the cabin. As for laundry I will love to do laundry on a ship just to say I did and then next I would love the service for a longer cruise! The canned water has to go. I have to say that I would disagree if you were saying that sitting in a chair with your feet on the floor taking up one chair and dosing off is rude. I don't feel like that is rude at all. Sometimes you are even with your spouse and you two sit there and one doses off, and one reads. It is your cruise which you paid for and nothing wrong with dosing off and taking up a chair for a few minutes. Just like when people lay on the lounge chairs in the sun and fall asleep. If you are sprawled out of the couch just there to sleep and especially with your feet up and you are going to be taking full on nap, then I agree that it is very rude. This is Wendy and what I said is all my fault...ha-ha... but we love you guys to the moon and back anyways.

We just were on a cruise with the Norwegian Jade. This is what we got for Priority access, long lines, last off the ship. No perk for tenders , one second day canapés 6 cheese spots, people hauling their own bags off got priority debarkation over priority access color coded . So I would not recommend. Total waste of money.

You said there wasn’t enough space on the counters I use when I Cruz I bring magnetic hooks and lately. I got a few more because I know in some ships like the prima. It was smaller these things I mean I hung up almost everything on there and the strong ones I have I hung up our jackets or umbrellas there’s like almost plenty of room on the counters and it’s always clean for when the guy comes into make the bed or whatever but thanks for the info (Cuz)my husband really loves that ship❤

First cruise not a fan but last one I felt perfect for Iceland Norway cruise

They constantly use dining areas on all cruise ships for socialized hour 🤬. Breakfast is usually the worst. Be considerate of others trying to eat.

On the last cruise we were on last January of this year we were sitting in the Horizon Lounge on Norwegian Encore with our feet up on the chairs like the loungers they'll the workers brought over their beach towels and lamb one front. We had to put her feet and shoes on top of the towels to keep the furniture clean. It was a cool idea. We're going on NCL Prima at the end of January for a 14-day Caribbean Round-trip Galveston: Cozumel & Dominican Republic we get the cruise in Galveston TX. We always book the Mini-Suite we booked we upgraded a little bit to a Family Suite with a Master Bedroom & Balcony, and we booked another cruise for my dad's birthday next June 7-Day Alaska from Vancouver to Whittier: Hubbard Glacier & Skagway we're going on is Norwegian Jade the room we got was Family Balcony

Thanks for these tips! We've been loyal for quite a while to one particular (shall remain unnamed) cruise line, but now for certain reasons we're looking around. We'll take all of this into consideration. Still, can't wait to see your cruise vlogs from this one.😊

You mean folks use indulge like they do in Lido Market Place on Carnival? Carnival usually they have folks playing cards, board games, Left, Right Center which is "gambling" and apparently Carnival will shut that down.

I live in SF and it’s unfortunate that visitors don’t venture into other parts of this beautiful and historic city. Sure, the city has problems, but what city in the U.S. doesn’t! SF is gorgeous, accepting and friendly! Come visit us!

There's a documentary about the Golden Gate Bridge and the suicides. "The Bridge" released in the mid 2000's, I believe. There's only been one survivor, and he tells his story in it. It's a hard watch. I hope you had a great time in San Francisco!

I think, what you are describing is a cruise line that is more centered towards a European clientele, than a North American clientele - they are staying close to their roots. What you describe is what we have found from any European-based cruises we have taken. They are not as party-based focused as North American cruises.

Thanks for the tips! I will sometimes go one step further with Google Maps and send to my phone the directions from the hotel to places I've looked up, like tour meeting points, attractions, recommended restaurants, etc. so I have a map even if I have no internet.

For my loyal to Royal and DCL folks, here's how you do it. 1. Morning flight into Orlando. You'll find they usually have the best rates versus the smaller airports because, let's be honest, you're gonna be on Delta. None of you would ever fly Spirit or the other discount airlines. 2. Rent a car. Plenty of rentals at OIA/MCO. Don't bother with the bus lines or ride-share because your rental is going to be your early check-in where you can temporarily store your luggage. 3. Hit the theme parks. Trust me. I grew up in Merritt Island right next to Port Canaveral. There is NOTHING to do there except to agonize over the remaining moments prior to boarding your ship. Sure, you could go to Cocoa Beach but, you're about to spend an entire cruise doing stuff like that. Go to a park. Have fun. 4. Drive to the Port the night before. There are plenty of hotels there and more are being built. Skip the Radisson Resort. The pool looks nice in the photos but the hotel is in dire need of a remodel. You could also opt to drive to the port in the morning, depending on your boarding time. It's only a 45 minute drive at 85 mph (speed limit = 70 but, let's be real). The only issue with this method is the possible issue with busy rental car returns and delays with shuttle busses/vans but, it's what I usually do. 👍🏻 If you're cruising on Carnival, disregard the previous advice. You're going to have an awful time no matter what you do. At least save as much money as you can on your miserable vacation so you can book with Royal Caribbean next time. Take a Spirit flight and ride the bus. It'll likely be the best part of your trip. 🚌

Not sure if it is on the Volendam, but all the HAL ships we have been on have a couple of pull out drawers under the bed for extra storage, great place for snorkel gear and other items. Also, usually there is a shelf under the sink in the bathroom, more great storage space, especially for longer cruises.
