We've taken a look at the Philips Air Purifier Series 800 (AC0820/30). It removes 99.5% particles as small as 3 nanometer & supports the room size of up to 49 m2 (527 ft2). The device has a professional-grade sensor & uses a color based LED feedback, to show you the indoor air quality. Auto, Turbo & Sleep are the modes available when it's on (leaving it on the auto-purification mode is simple). You will have the option to enable the Turbo mode (at a touch of a button), which might be useful first thing in the morning, or after cooking a meal. Whereas a night-mode allow the device to be almost silent (it still works - but at a significantly reduced noise level / speed), useful if you're playing a movie in the living room; or use the device in the bedroom (& do not want to be waken in the night). The user swappable filter, has a recommended lifetime of 12-months (longer than some cheaper models) - thus reducing the total cost of the ownership potentially. Our tip? Set a reminder in 11.5 month to get another filter. Have a bigger room? Look at the Philips AC3033/30 supports upto 104 M2 space.

Spray a cologne next to it, if it turns red it’s working. Also if you put it in a large room, try to keep it in front of or next to the AC because that will make it purify air better

Hi, i got new one, kept it on "sleep" mode all day but Red sign didn't change. Does it means air is still not clean or that was some Malfunctioning? Room size 250 Sq feet, plz note philips claims to clean such size of room in 15 minutes

I've had trouble with astma for so long. And after living abroad for a year and coming back to the house I've been able to identify that my problems are caused by dust. Tomorrow I'll install a filter and I hope it will make the irritations in my airways less. I am very hopeful that I can get more energy again. Yes,you just need to put the purifier switch to ON and leave it. When you use your smart plug this will turn on automatically.

HEPA filters aren’t really re-usable but honestly your best bet is to dry clean it with a vacuum I think 🤔 Although not sure you can just buy new ones tho

It depends on the person. If you're more sensitive to the air quality and this is the right for your use (e.g. room size, etc) - you might notice it. Colleague has mentioned that a family member who is affected by asthma finds it to make a difference, whereas they personally just enjoy that it keeps the smell more neutral. ☺ A classic your mileage may vary topic.

If you disturb the dust the air purifier will kick in. Dust as to be airborne. If it’s settled it won’t kick in as much.

Generally if there is mould, it may be sensible to seek assistance professionally (re. Mould) as living in that environment may be detrimental to health. Air purifier may attempt to address the symptoms, but addressing the cause may be useful.

The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
