I can only imagine the number of folks who follow you are envious of your journey and the scenery you all are witnessing. Being raised in St. Petersburg, after the dredging and filling in the 60's it stirred up the waters of Tampa Bay and ruined it for me, but growing up, I found that every time I ventured south toward Longboat Key, the water began to look like the Bahamas. The clean gorgeous aquamarine colors I only used to see in movies and in my dreams. You guys live my dream every day. I too am a bit envious and am thankful that you share yours with us. Sail on and be safe.

Hi guys, still catching up on your episodes...loving them. I think you may have already completed your dodger, but as for traveling with your sunshade up, you could consider putting a small isinglass window near the cockpit with a Velcro flap on the inside so you can see out periodically while motoring. (more of an idea for any future work you may do for someone else if you already have your dodger). I do my own canvas work as well...i find it relaxing...lol

Great video, keep it up. I have a question, I have a 26’ sailboat with a wheel and a tiller “for emergencies “. I was thinking of getting a tiller pilot, but it would have to take the extra weight of the wheel gearing. I also sail in a lake not a ocean. Based on your experience with your tiller pilot is there extra torque in calm waters? Also which tillerpilot do you have?
@MrRourk6 жыл бұрын
Before you spend some money. Try a sheet to tiller. Works good on boats up to 30ft. Most people this does the job good enough. www.jsward.com/steering/index.shtml

Quibble, Quibble, Quibble....If your'e looking for real sailing adventure, then here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXuwenWYqZemrNE no Disneyfication, no muzak videofication, no soft pornofication, just pedal to the metal, absolutely no bullsh*t sailing adventure!!! I highly recommend that you check it out. I don't believe that Atticus' videos are any of the above fications, but they are at times good humoredly tongue in cheek. My initial comment was in the not-so-serious spirit of their video and a play on their very own words, It was not intended to be taken so seriously. Furthermore, I have enjoyed all of their videos from day one, when they first went to look at their soon to be forlorn little boat in Key West and debated whether to buy it or not. They were completely green and had no idea what the future held in store for them all those years ago. They have come a long way and I have enjoyed watching them grow and progress on their journey. I wish them all the best on their continuing endeavors. Peace Out.
@CheersWarren6 жыл бұрын
Atticus , Hi it's defiantly a tricky compromise, you need to attract the people to watch so they can enjoy your travels and (& keep watching) and the cover pic has a great effect , but you also don't want to pull viewers in and get them ticked off when they don't get the 'Delos style' video. If you get a chance to see 'follow the boat' these guy have been filming a long time and are too old to use the usual click bait but they have found they get a huge number of views if there is negativity in their cover title. Recently it looks like they have been trying it out. They have also done a film on this. ( look at the views on you E11). Buy the way how hot is it where you are? And could you remember to say /show where you are somewhere in the film? I think it always enhances the story. Cheers Warren FTB. Link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWO2q2t7mdppZ5I

Lee Martin facts Mr. Lee Martin, #1 if your intelligent enough to actually read my comment I never suggested or told them what to say! #2 I agree on freedom of speech, they can say what’re they want! But cautiously I might add. Your beef isn’t with me it’s certainly with God. And why might ask are you mad about them possibly being blessed by honoring not only themselves But God. #3 Exodus 20:7 - Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. You either except this or deny it! I’m not holding a gun to your head at all. No sir. #4 thank you for blessing me as when we are often persecuted we receive a reward and blessing from God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. I’ll pray for you my friend! I have blessed assurance and peace in my heart that passeth all understanding. Do you?
@svbrightstar69646 жыл бұрын
Rob S , oh great I was hoping you’d chime in. I’m certainly glad you are studying God’s scripture. Mathew ch7 was about hypocrites and religious, pious, Pharisees they did have a haughty spirit which caused them to be hypocrites. It was religion that God rebukes and despises. Mans religion is man precepts over Gods. We could never be over God not at all. I personally have sinned but have recognized that sin against God is a transgression that separates me from him. The Pharisees rejected Christ the only mediator thinking they had the redemptive power in themselves. This is why God continued to show them many signs and wonders by Jesus hand and the apostles. But they still rejected Christ. As for me! I’m a sinner that has fallen so short of Gods glory that I knew way down in my heart that I sinned against him. Am I perfect no! But have have been forgiven by his blood by recognizing my sinful state and sin debt which so heavily weighed me down. YES. But as you mentioned the hypocrites do exist. I have examined my sinful state and gave it to God. I won’t be perfect until that day of redemption but I am covered by the blood! Here’s what Jesus had to say right after your comment about hypocrites. 31 ¶ And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. I have no condemnation in me because I confess to the Lord I am a sinner and he came into my heart. Gave me spiritual conviction! I was sick but the great physician came and made me whole. I agree with you about religion I’m not speaking about religion at all. I wish for you all to have a personal relationship with Christ hindering him and fellowshiping with him. May I ask are you whole ? Or deep down inside you know your missing something! Aimlessly wondering without purpose? I did in my past for sure. Here’s Webster’s 1828 definition of hypocrisy: derived from the Greek HYP'OCRITE, noun [French hypocrite; Greek.] 1. One who feigns to be what he is not; one who has the form of godliness without the power, or who assumes an appearance of piety and virtue, when he is destitute of true religion. You’ll either honor God and his word or you won’t! Question is if I’m right and your wrong? what do you have to loose except a little pride rather than spending eternity in hell. Is it to much to ask to not only respect yourself but God as well? 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; I’m definitely a new creature. Not by my works but Christ’s. But by giving my heart to God he dealt with me slowly in a kind patient loving way. I’m far from perfect and despise religion, I’m sick saved by the savior, the great physician. I have been made whole by his redemptive power. I have nothing to Glory of but Christ. It’s a free gift my friend we could never earn it but we can certainly be honest to God and have a repentive heart. Asking him and confessing him as our Lord and savior to save us. I’m still praying for you all. God loves you, satan Hates you, he will rob you blind. Be forewarned when God seeks you out by his his love you will know it. When your humbled he’s always willing to forgive and take away your sins just as he has done mine. I have the power!
@svbrightstar69646 жыл бұрын
Lee Martin I have been judged graciously and forgiven. You do have a beef with God. Your iniquity is deeply rooted in you. A hatred so deep that you are a very bitter person with no peace towards God. 1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Rob S Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. You may have your unknown god! You have been warned and know this, I reached out in hopes of reaching your hearts to the blessed revelation of Jesus Christ our Lord. He is the true God! Hated for his love and devotion to salvation through his blood. As I serve the known GOD I have blessed peace that passeth all understanding. This I wish for you as well! Not to be condemned but delivered, having the same free Gift that was given into me!
