Since stumbling on Crusing the Cut back in March with the Lockdown. Which led me to the Narrowboat Experience. Then over the months to many of the Narrow boat KZbinrs. Is it possible to say I have a favourite Narrow boat Vlog? Answer yes. If there was an Award for Best Narrow boat Vlog. This one gets my vote. This Vlog shows the great friendships that have grown with Narrow boat people. Long lasting friendships. This Vlog is my favourite. Thank you.

That was great. David seems to be muscling in on everyone’s channels these days but as all narrowboaters love him that’s fine! I love that Anchor Cottage shop. I shared locks with the owners last November when they were taking their boat back to its mooring. I commented on their lovely pigeon tiller pin as my dad has always kept pigeons, it’s very common in mining families and the man confirmed that he had made it and that he would make me one too. I now have it and his wife said we are related by tiller pins. Everyone on the canals are so lovely and I’m dying to get back to my boat but I’ve just put a deposit on another puppy! My husband said this is the last one but I think three is the perfect number for puppies. Its from another working dog so will be as boisterous as the two I already have. We may need to stretch our boat from 45 to 52 feet to accommodate all these dogs 😁🐶🐶🐶

Just got done watching CC's video of the day. Enjoyed seeing y'all having fun on such a glorious sunny day. Canal setting is appealing. Has been several decades since I've been around the few canals we have here in US. Now live in a little farm burg along the Missouri River and it runs rather more rapid and forceful than a canal.

I remember waiting for a boat to pass us so that we could go up the Buckby Locks together. Eventualy one came along and it was raining. But when we got to the bottom lock he turned into the marina, so we had to do all the locks on my own in the rain. Hard work!! I remember it well.

Yes, many end up in a lock. They can slip out of your hands and end up in the canal. That's better than them slipping into your face. That's why you have to be vigilant at a lock.

It’s called a windlass David. Wind = breath or the ability to breathe. Lass = a girl or young woman. That explains (or an excuse for) why it always seems to be the lasses doing the gates.

Having recently watched people on KZbin Magnet Fishing I am absolutely flabbergasted at the amount and type of stuff they seem to pull out of our inland waterways yes there is the obligatory bicycle and the shopping trolley but also many safes, wheel clamps, guns, knives, bombs ww2 type, and hand grenades quite a few have proven to be very much alive and powerful. Its a wonder nobody has had the bottom out of their boat. I never resided there was that much dumped in the waterways, I suppose its because there is so much beauty above the surface you never consider what sinister material is laying out there.
