Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much! We had maybe an hour and a half total of walking, so including lunch and going up the mountain we were out for about 4 hours. Bergen itself is not very large and its easy to get around, but there are also plenty of taxis if you need one as well! If you plan to do some other activities outside of the main part of the city (like going up Ulriken, which is another big tourist attraction) then that will obviously take some more time. Hope that helps! 😊

Taking this cruise in early September. When did you go? Looking for clothing suggestions for various weather conditions

We went in the early autumn as well. You should be fine with light/medium jackets, but make sure you check the weather forecast ahead of time to see if a cold snap is coming (could happen!). We would recommend you bring one regular jacket and probably a rain jacket, since it is likely you will see some rain that time of year in Norway especially. You can bring a pair of shorts, but we were only really able to wear them on one day, so Jeans is good (also you will want Jeans for sure in Iceland since some locations are very "buggy" there.

Did you guys bought a tour or you guys just went on your own? How much does it cost to go from cruise port to the near town.

We purchased the tour from Norway Excursions, but we purchased it on our own and not with the cruise line (who also organizes excursions that you can purchase). The town of Geiringer is right in the cruise port, so it doesn't cost anything to get there. Hope that helps!

Beautiful video! Does the ship actually cruise the fjord to arrive at Bergen? Or to see the fjords you have to go in a specific tour?

Thanks for the question! Bergen itself is not actually in the fjords, but Geiranger (which we also visited on this cruise) is! The ship does take about 6 hours to cruise through the fjords so it is a great view!

We were able to use credit cards for everything. None of the shops we went to accept Euros, but you might be able to find some that do (for a very bad exchange rate we are sure!).
