Pretty Informative video. I hope if you're paying for a taxi the Cruise Line is reimbursing you for it. Everyone I've talked to that are on cruise ships have told me the Company sends buses to the hotel to pick up their crew. I'm about to join a ship as an Audio Tech for the theaters on board. Again nice video.

How long before you hear back if you have the job and then how long to start? Being a fully fresh employee with no experience on ships? I’ve heard it can take several months?

What do you mean when you say you need to have your "medical"? Would I need to see a doctor when accepting an offer for a position on a cruise ship? What type of medical conditions would they not allow on the ship?
@CruisingAsCrew3 жыл бұрын
Yes you will need to have a medical before working on a ship to make sure you ate fit to do the job.
@kimboslice37153 жыл бұрын
@@CruisingAsCrew so is this just a physical, or you need to be able to do push-ups pull-ups and run a mile under a certian time. I'm just asking because I'm out of shape lol- but I'm not physically disabled or anything like that. I don't have medical conditions that'd prevent me from doing my job. I know airline flight attendants have weight and height restrictions... I'm hoping it's not like that on cruise ships.

You did not talk about getting fitted for your uniforms. When do you get them. How many changes do you get. Do you wash and iron them, or is that done and you just wash your personals.
@andressalinas98952 жыл бұрын
You have to get your own uniforms just carnival cruise ships give uniforms

Do staff need first aid or CPR to work on the cruise even with having a medical team on board?
@itziaralonso58602 жыл бұрын
Yes, before been offered a contract you will have to do a first aid course. At least that was my case as a member of the Youth staff team. We had to do 2 training courses at the Southampton offices: first aid and safeguarding.

Plz is wifi available on cruise ship for workers ?
@arfriedman45772 жыл бұрын
Ask the cruise line. There are differences in price and free on different ships.
