The Bluetti AC200Max makes a gas-powered Generator a thing of the past. It is an all-in-one solution that allows you to capture the power from up to 1400 watts of solar panels and store it in its 2048WH LiFePo4 batteries and letting you use it in either DC or AC form with its 2200W sine wave inverter. Whether you have a boater, a camper, RV-er, or live in a tiny off-grid home, this solar generator can handle your electrical needs without all the noise, fumes, maintenance and gas of a traditional generator.
It makes living off the grid in this ever-increasing digital world, more enjoyable.

Pain that the fan never shuts off. I put my charger on a timer so that it only charges at night when it is cheap and when I am nowhere near it.

Hey Craig, the fan in the charging brick ALWAYS runs. This is a "feature" of Bluetti. If you can call it that. Thanks for the review. I have two smaller Bluettis and wondered about the larger ones. I can't justify the expense at this point though. Don't have the 'need'. Got plenty of 'want' though!

Ya, I needed a better inverter in my boat than the one I had hard wired so that pushed me to get this. Plus I wanted more LifePO4 capacity and this adds that. Now I can use this to “plug into shore power” to run anything, even at anchor. Also it is all in one and portable so I can use it at home or camping and I couldn’t do that with my hard wired setup.

@@Bowmans-Woods I don't think you can go wrong with these set ups. When I got my EB70, I justified the purchase as "Emergency Preparedness" (earthquake kit) that can also be used when camping/overlanding and on the boat (which I still have to purchase). Then someone was selling their EB55 plus solar panels when they upgraded to the same one you have. I couldn't pass on the deal. Looking forward to more videos like these.

Hi Craig, So glad I found your channel. I have a Pearson sailboat in Florida where it is Humid and Hot! I'm planning on, or maybe dreaming about getting enough power to run a small air conditioner at night. I've done the numbers and it looks like I need 300ah of lithium (Redodo) and 600 of solar to charge them. Don't know if this is feasible but it would make sleeping SO much more comfortable. Haha! Thanks for the videos and letting me know the best bang for my buck.

Glad to be of help. Yes, you need a lot of solar and batteries to run an AC all night.

I agree...my vertamax 3000W sine wave inverter wont run a miter or table saw...the Bluetti does and it runs both at the same time if needed...what I do for that back up to the Bluetti is I have a small propane fired BAJA 700 watt generator(uses the 1# coleman stove propane tanks or refillable 1# flame king tanks). It works great when using the 500 watt Bluetti AC charge brick when my solar cant recharge adequately. Its not quite as loud as my 20 year old 2000w honda generator so thats nice. Sadly I think these little generators are getting hard to come by and may be out of production...very handy tho...good alternative is the Champion dual fuel 2000w ...priced pretty reasonable. I have to have a fueled generator as a solar back up for off grid cabin use. I also use a Haulpro folding aluminum dolly (amazon) to wheel the Bluetti around...use a ratchet strap to hold it to the dolly and mounted a dewalt organizer above it to hold the cables and brick charger...just an fyi for you and your viewers...

Thanks. ya, in a long term power outage (when you have a bunch of cloudy days) running a gas generator for an hour or 2 to fully top up an AC200Max, would be the best solution. Can't always count on Solar. My Yamaha 2000W generator would be used for that.

It can't put out 30 amps unless it is 3,600 watts. right?

I didn’t have the gear to test it’s full capabilities with the 30amp out but Hobotech did and it held up to above its rated outputs

It does seem that the AC200Max is a pretty big power station with just 2kWh of capacity.
@Bowmans-Woods
@Bowmans-Woods Жыл бұрын
It’s heavier than a power station build with traditional lithium ion because it is lithium iron phosphate and these cells are better (4000+ cycles vs 400) but at the expense of weight. If you need more capacity, you can buy the additional battery banks. If you wanted a bigger inverter, you would go for a AC300.

The only downside to this AC200Max is that when you have the expansion battery packs connected, and you discharge this whole system to zero, it will turn off the expansion packs.
@Bowmans-Woods
@Bowmans-Woods Жыл бұрын
Ya. That would be a small issue because of you have the expansion packs you have the extra capacity and with the app you should be able to monitor its levels and not drain it to zero %. Just need to add some solar or charge by AC or gas generator (in a long power outage) to give it some more juice before you get to zero.

It’s sort of like saying “if I drive my car to empty and it stops running, I can’t drive to the gas station to get more gas”. 😆
@michaelm.9947
@michaelm.9947 7 ай бұрын
I would think it would drain the expansion batteries first or keep all 3 the same percentage. I just bought the ac200max and the charge enhancer since it came with the PV350 panels free. Are the extra batteries worth the cost? Was considering 2 of the b300s

Hi! I'm from Ukraine, when the russian motherf***s attacked own energy system, these generators costed a lot, now the price dropped 3-4 times down. Now we almost don't have any problems with the energy thanks to the US patriots, so I don't need bluetti anymore as a energy storage BUT I like the idea of solar energy, I'm studying this theme now. Thanks for the review, it helps a lot, really!

The fan runs all the time. It's stupid design. I have to use smart plug to control it. Other thing is you can't setup grid / pv ratio. 300 has it. Not very happy with my first bluetti. Should stick with ecoflow

Ya. The fan running all the time even when no power is going through it is incredibly bad engineering. Not sure why they allowed it to be sold like that. Other than that I like the unit. Use it daily.
