A lot of people are calling this a toxic relationship, well the dude seems to be getting up 3 hours early to meet her and walk her to school, also she rejected him and he still persisted. I am sure that people are overthinking it, but he does seem to be a bit extreme

Bruh it's toxic lol, why on earth is man waiting 3hrs for a girl he is just getting to know! She rejected him because he's doing too much, its almost feels manipulative, plus the anime has done nothing but go our of its way to show how weird the guy is, unless they're pulling a bait and switch I can't imagine him not being incredibly toxic. In short, he's going too far out of his way to accommodate girl who has made it clear she wants to try and understand these feelings. If he were trying to ease he'd into it, trying to understand her pace without being as overly suggestive and in some ways too invasive, I feel like he'd be an easier character to palate at least imo😊

I identify with her. I feel like she herself is an asexual being. I Myself am. I remember being a confused teen about love. Being live by others in a couple way and being no being able to reciprocate on it. I didn’t know if there was something wrong with me. I was happy by just being me enjoying life with my family and friends. I never thought about love or being in love. When your surroundings are full of people with partners and in love you start asking yourself if there’s anything wrong with you. But I was happy just like her by just being me. When I met my partner now my husband I couldn’t understand what it was. What he was feeling why he was the way he was back then. I think my hubby is pretty much like him, a passionate person who knows what he wanted and how to get there just by his own feelings. This anime as shown me until now, that it was okay to be and felt like that back then on my teen years.

When I saw that Hananoi kun was gonna do that move on Hotaru I was so super surprised at it that I bet he’s gonna kiss her for real even though they are doing what real couples do, although I enjoy this scene of course.

It's always so strange when they portray these situations as so romantic, when the dude is clearly one bad moment aways from going full Yandere. He even already cut out people from photos already.

@kyaraha8053 I mean, they probably won't go dark since it's still a romance, but his parents are usually away and it seems that they send him photos during their work with other children. The guy cut out these other children from the photos.

I think when he cuts out the photos of the kids, it’s not because he wants to cause harm to those kids personally, I think it’s just a coping mechanism. He’s hurt that these children are getting more love and affection from his own parents than he ever did, which I can understand. It doesn’t automatically mean he is a yandere, but someone who struggles with his relationships and doesn’t know how to cope with it in a healthy way.

It's genuinely shocking. His character has given me bad vibes from the moment he started going so far out of his way to do things for her to his detriment when he barely knows the girl, add to that how his mood seems to damn near deoebd on the girl and how forceful he was in this very video, and honestly you have a walking red flag, but because it looms like FMC is actually learning and growing, somehow his actions are now painted over with that same brush lol

I'm an anime only for this series, but this guy obviously has abandonment issues and comes across as very creepy but kinda of in an innocent way, so I dont know how I feel about it yet. I dont get wholesome and cute from it. Obsessive, possessive, creepy, but we'll see..
