Takemichi is just like us. He's not an overpowered character nor someone with a very high IQ. He's a normal, average person trying to make difference with their life after being given a second chance to save the people they love. Takemichi is definitely struggling, especially in this scene, but by God he is trying his damnedest. 💪👋

Mc has been kinda useless and stupid for most of the time imo, relying on luck for everything he has archieved so far (besides this fight, and we all know there are a lot of plot holes before and during the fight) considering his knowledge of the future, so i don't see why everyone is praising him, i mean i get he is doing his best (wich doesn't really amount to much wo his luck) but so do most mcs, the only thing that is rare about him is that he is weak in a setting where strength is important, but he has no redeeming qualities besides being cheerful sometimes. If you want to see a weak and somewhat lame protagonist that is well written look for haruhiro from hai to gensou no grimgar, that is imo what you can call a weak but relatable protagonist trying his best. I guess subaru form re: zero and deku from mha (before he gets ofa) would also fall in that category, and i think subaru provides better contrast as for why takemichi isn't well written, they both act in a pathetic way sometimes, but for subaru that is justified by a detailed emotional background when he breaks down while takemichi has none ot that, now that i think of it, takemichi is just a poorly written, less interesting and more stupid version of subaru.

Ok first of all if your sleeper hold is done well almost no one is going to break out of it unless you're hafthor or eddie hall, beside that I've done wrestling and my friend did the same to me, I was far bigger and stronger but his technique were way better. It doesn't matter on the size most of the time you're going to get knockout, if the hold is done well. It's literally all technique, kiyomasa isn't spiderman or captain america, just a normal dude. Almost all the time a big person with no technique is going to get beat by a smaller guy with techniques, and vice versa.
