I don't think so. The Boruto design here surely is mimicking the manga Boruto, but the art style if a very different thing than character design. The art style here is very different from Ikemoto, it is actually mimicking a very old japanese art style for paintings. Check it out.

Lucas Martinez you know i’ve argued with people in calls about that 😂honestly op 3 isn’t animated well , probably the shittiest animation effort for a mainstream shounen.but i find it as the best op of boruto , firstly i wanna point to the scene of boruto having his back to the screen and the most important people in his life flashing on the screen , this is a period when boruto gets stripped of being a shinobi and op 3 ties so well with ed 5 of giving boruto that back against the wall stance , a time of redeeming himself from the L he took , shaming his village and his father at the chunin exams. the best scene of the op comes from the shikidai and boruto scene , the op gives the fight a grit and grind type of fashion , having the two swarming each other with kunai and tieing each other up , it was a up front and conformational scene between the two and was very well needed for the feel of a damn chunin exams, the op scene is way more intense than the one in the anime.the boruto scene when he goes against yurui is not well animated but ties with the song well so i give it a pass , the shinki scene is shit i can admit that.but honestly it’s enough good in the op the give it a boost over the others , theirs other scenes i didn’t point out but yeah , i wanted to point out the main contributing scenes to why i think it’s the best one.
