After thinking about the premise, something random rushed trough my mind: What if Caesar after his death was reborn many years later as non-important noble during the reign of Commodus, seeing first hand how the decadent aristocracy destroys what he has build and trying desperately to fix things, only to be murdered and then be reborn again later as Attila the Hun… Now that would be an interesting concept.

He's like the Deep State, or the Australian Shadow Government - which officially exists. It's true that he does enjoy testing his strength against strong opponents, but that's more about furthering his rise to power & fame more than it is about the actual fighting. Why do you think he's currently fighting in a tournament under an assumed name with a face mask on? Or why he was dreaming about being on the edge of losing said tournament, then got stuck on what he'd say just before his "big comeback?" He's a nutcase, for sure, but not in the same way Black Summoner or this chick are. Basically, he's a cross between Batman & Raj Al Ghoul. (Whose name I don't remember how to ACTUALLY spell, so I'm doing it phonetically.) In other words, Derek Wayne - the newest Robin. Or, to put it another way, he's something like what would happen if Clark Kent was Batman instead of Superman: mild-mannered mob character so completely different from his super-persona nobody would ever suspect the two were one & the same. Meanwhile, Black Summoner & this one are more like Prince Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z - pre-Majin Buu, or Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach. Interested in combat for combat's sake. Nothing more, nothing less. Even Fran from "Reincarnated as a Sword" is less about the combat & more about getting stronger so she can become the first Black Cat to evolve, & that's largely because it was her parent's wish they didn't live long enough to fulfill so she took up their mantle.

Watching this i am reminicient of a story i was dreaming about. Arthur Mcallister is reincarnated into another world and fights against the forces of darkness and demons, and is awarded titles, lands, and the marriage of a royal princess. He is blessed by the world's goddess with Holy Skills and Light Mana. He fights with a halberd/standard and sword in his offhand. Then he has a son, unbenownst to the both of them, the son is also reincarnated, but doesnt inherit the blessings of his father. Arthur eventually is killed in action against a collaboration of men, orcs, and other monsters, saving his son. His son grows into his own throughout the story as he tries to find out who orchestrated the death of his father while trhing to maintain secrecy for his own reasons. Theres also a bunch of details i dreamed and added, but i never really got into finishing the story

If you're interested in this anime, just a little bit of warning : It seems very good but fall off drastically after half of it. "Reborn to master the blade" but Inglis use a sword like 3 times (exageration, i didn't count but it's very, very low) in the whole show. Very interesting and promising start, very disappointing development and end.

@@DraGanix33 Other than internal monologue implying they aren't interested in boys bc of their past life, and unhealthy obsession with honing their skills and hoping circumstances let them fight strong people, it doesn't appear to come up at all. MC enjoys dressing nicely, has good court manners, speaks in a neutral feminine style, doesn't leer or find it uncomfortable being in the bath, etc. Honestly, it's about what I would expect from anyone in a similar situation: That's your life now and any novelty to it would wear off very quickly, and most people enjoy dressing in a pleasing way and being complimented, etc.

Interesting. I hadn’t seen it before, but I think it might be for a *ahem* companion of the night. There are instances of vase being connected to concubines in Chinese Literature. Also, in English Restoration Comedies, china/porcelain was used as a metaphor the act. That last one is a bit of a jump, but there is a parallel there. Might be totally wrong open this, but it fits with the fathers reaction and the fact that it’s an old man’s soul in a young girl.

I tried to give this series a chance. But the part that annoys me the most is how long the MC went after this fight without touching a sword. She mostly relies on her magically enhanced physical abilities to punch and kick enemies into submission while making stupid excuses to hide her true abilities. I can't remember where I gave up on the series, but the silly excuses, repetitive "pretty girl punches bad guys" plot of most episodes, and loss of charm compared to this pilot episode kind of killed it for me.

Inglis was reincarnated into a family that apparently spoke the same language as Inglis's past life. Either that, or she was born with an auto-translate skill, but seriously, what would be the point of that? That skill is very useful for Isekai protagonists who have the same memory and age as they had in their old world, but as a reincarnated infant with persistent memories but her age reset, Inglis has plenty of time to learn the local language the old-fashioned way, even if she was born knowing one more language than most infants. Yet she clearly understood every word her parents said the day she was born, otherwise she wouldn't have had the "what? I'm a girl?" reaction.
